Rica Grand Hotel Tromsø  

My wife and I were both ill when we stayed. No fault of yours but it took the shine off any stay in Tromsø!

The hotel has a mixture of renovated and unrenovated rooms. At first we were allocated an unrenovated room but after a quick conversation at the hotel reception we were given a fully renovated suite. This made our stay very comfortable. The staff were very helpful, the breakfasts great and the bed very comfortable.

Noisy lift that echoed through hotel - but they did shut this down from 11pm to 7am. There was a bath but no bath tap so it had to be filled from the shower.

Very nice place, good breakfast and warm rooms: you don't need anything else, because the Hotel is in the center of the city

Breakfast large choice good food / staff very nice and helpful/ good view from the 6 th floor/ airport shuttle stop 50 meters from the entrance but does it for all the other hotels too

Room very small can't leave 2 opened suitcases at the same time except on the bed no closet no desk / cleaning of the room lacking / good for one night but not for the week like we did

The hotel was clean friendly. Snd my room was spacious and bed comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The funny man on thefront desk was too familiar and joked about the weather which was very bad, and ruined our trip.

they have a club or nightclub in the hotel, so the week end you have loud music until 3:00 AM even if you are at the third floor the staff are not helpful, we asked about northern light, they just say look in the internet

Perfect location to see all of Tromso and links to excursions all close by, Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

Expensive like everything else in Norway

The room was very spacious and had excellent views. Good breakfast buffet, great location.

Decor was a bit dated. Even though this is a no-smoking hotel there was a mild odour of cigarette smoke in the room.

Location

Too much noise from nightclub situated in the basement. No tea kettles in rooms. A bit strange beds.

Forget it if you want peace and quiet. If you go for partying its ok. If you want to sleep or resting only at day time. At night time in the 5th floor you can't sleep because of the noise of people and the trembling of the building. There is a Pub/Disco on the ground floor. No private parking

Staff were very good, polite and friendly. I had a problem with my shower and it was fixed! thats very rare in a Hotel, usually that kind of thing is just ignored by staff.

Far too expensive.

savnet vannkoker på rommet, frokosten var ganske midt på treet rommet var litt for varmt

Generelt god atmosfære. Frokosten svært god, med ryddig og fin plassering av mat- og påleggalternativer. God plass og aktivt personale.

Rommet mitt var svært trangt, med vindu ut mot Storgata. Støy lørdag kveld/natt til søndag inn fra gata. Merkelig påfunn med glassvegg inn mot dusj/toalett, men ingen praktisk betydning da jeg var alene.

Lite fasiliteter på hotellet

Jeg likte at det er mulighet for å plugge i telefon og høre musikk på høytalerne i taket. :)

Vi hadde en koselig helg på Rica Grand. Hyggelig betjening i resepsjonen

- la proximité de tout dans Tromso : port, centre-ville, et parking-tunnel à 3 minutes à pied.

Resepsjonisten var utrolig service minded Håvard heter han tror æ stort + til han, Hotellet ligger fint til i forhold til byen. God frokost.

Ovnene på rommet funket ikke eller dvs det var 3 panelovner og den ene var det litt lunk i så det var kaldt. Syns ikke at vi akkurat fikk valuta for pengen, det e dyrt å overnatte en natt i uka :-( når du reiser som privatperson. Hos som jobba i etasjen var ikke noe solstråle.

fantastisk hyggelig betjening. helt utsøkt frokost, fantastisk beliggenhet ( tross dårlig Tromsøvær). Sikkert ikke det billigste, men god valuta for pengene

Beliggenhet, fin nyoppusset suite, kaffemaskin på rommet, resturant med god mat vegg i vegg,god frokost, rent, hyggelig personale, tromsøboka på rommet.

Blide, vennlige ansatte i resepsjonen - og resolutt imøtekommelse av klage. Grei frokost. Deilig sengetøy :-)

Nachspiel på naborommet som holdt oss våken fra 04.30 til 06.00.
