For that price range the room was very Basic. Bathroom shower tiles were very moldy and unpleasant looking.

The whole experience of being at the Grand Hotel was fantastic. We were there over their Constitution Day and required medical help and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were friendly and helpful and were able to help with all our needs. The facilities were ideal and the location was spot on. If in Oslo again the Grand Hotel would be first choice. Everything was excellent.

Nice room, very clean. The breakfast buffet offers a wide choice of Norwegian and international items. Wellness is very nice. Fitness is OK though not as super as the wellness. Very limited number of power outlets in the room.

In the context of Oslo being one of the most expensive places in the world to stay nthe Grand is simply wonderful. Our room was a little on the small side but the hotel is from a different era.In all other respects it is a sumptuous delight and we thought we might bump into Ibsen at any time! The breakfasts were worth the price alone!!

Excellent breakfast after a joyful night out on the town. Staff friendly and efficient. Bathroom design good with nice bathtub. Bed nice and comfortable with squeaky fres linen. "Superior room" good value via Booking.com. Had to clean the bath before using it. Found a previous occupant's long black hair lurking in the corner... Unfriendly bathroom lighting was not helpful for women applying makeup. View into the interior light well of the hotel wasn't spectacular but it wasn't too horrible either.

Historic. Excellent position. Grand Cafe sensational. Very comfortable. Friendly staff. Would strongly recommend to those who would like a very traditional hotel run in a modern and efficent manner.

Great classic old-school type of hotel (if you're tired of all hipster boutique hotels with Apple gadgets as their non-unique selling points). The breakfast buffet looks much more appetizing than it actually is.

Was excellent. Only problem hotel did not have our reservation from booking.com which was not the hotels fault. Was with my daughter-we had a brilliant time and would definitely stay at the Grand Hotel again. Was excellent. Did not have reservation frombooking.com luckily hotel still had rooms as not sure what we would have done.

Great location for central Oslo business or pleasure. Excellent breakfast served in the historic Grand Cafe. Friendly relaxed and professional staff. Cosy 'Limelight Bar' for a relaxing after work drink. No Iron/Ironing board in room

Good breakfast and location was perfect. Disappointed that the bars were closed as this is one of the reason we wanted to stay there. I appreciate it was during Christmas and new year’s eve, however, we did not think both its evening bars would have been closed.

Excellent, friendly service. Staff totally non-patronising to a scruffy oik like me with little cash to flash! The hotel was recommended to me by the rock band that I was there to see. Well worth the money! Breakfast was incredible - fantastic choice of food. Room very comfortable - I had a fantastic slee. Beautifully clean bathroom. I was offered a room with a street view which I took but I couldn't see a thing from the window as it was blocked by what I assume was one of the letters from the hotel sign. I wasn't really bothered about it but I guess it might annoy some people. Also the prices of the goods in the minibar and room service. I should have expected it really as I knew how expensive Norway is - but near on £20 for a sandwich? How the other half live!!! A friend bought me a drink in the bar and I filled up on the chilli nuts that were served as free bar snacks!

Centrally located, very nice, spotlessly clean room, free wifi, excellent, friendly staff, amazing buffet breakfast. Our room overlooked the street and was extremely noisy at nights until about 2am, also a lot of noise, banging etc from (ladies) (!) floor above. I would stay again, as overall it was great, but only if I could make sure that I had a quieter room next time. Wifi is free which is great, but is painfully slow.

We had a 7th floor room facing the courtyard. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The minibar was fully stocked with a wide variety of drinks and snacks - all reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet is simply amazing - everything you could possibly want. I couldn't manage more than 4 courses of the 5 or 6 that one could have. The location of the hotel is perfect - being on the main street within a short walking distance to pretty much everywhere of interest. Nothing much really - The noise of delivery trucks outside in the middle of the night was annoying and the directions/numbering of the rooms is confusing.

Style and facilities are nice. Suite was very comfortable and fairly luxurious although deco in places is a little tired. Breakfast was below par. I was advised by Concierge that breakfast was served until 10:30 on weekdays. At 10:15 I had to beg my way in and was racing after the cleaning stuff for scraps of food. The waiters were rude and made it obvious that I was no longer welcomed. In general the food was generally not well replenished and the selection was limited for a Grand Hotel.

I had a problem with my room on the first night. I asked to change the room this was completed with no fuss and when I returned from work that night my clothes had all been moved to the new room. Good location, good Breakfast Room the first night was very poor air con on all night blasting out cold air without even being on, no where to put clothes other than those hanging up. The room smelt slightly damp or musty. My two colleagues where also on the 7th floor and although not as bad I think the 7th floor rooms are need of a refurb.
