First class position in the centre of the city. Breakfast was superb. Staff very good and helpful, except on check-out. None of the restuarants had suitable menus for evening meals so were not used. Had to call out maintenance to repair the bathroom lock which jammed closed on several occassions. Lightbulbs not working, floor in dressing room not cleaned in 5 days. Check out staff surly. |

Very nice hotel in the centre of Oslo. I regret I did not use the spa. The bar at the top (roof) is noisy. Rather find the bar at ground floor. An old hotel with plenty of charm, but with stairs and corridors that you will lost in. Take your time to wait for the two slow elevators. |

Fabulous breakfast and loved the swimming pool and rooftop bar. The rooms felt a little basic in comparison to the luxury of the communal areas of the hotel. |

The swimming-pool (Spa) is very nice. The breakfast is good (5*). Perfect situation (main street, near Parliament). Room & bathroom were somewhat tired. Few amenities in the room. No slippers (forgotten ? needed for the Spa). |

My husband and I are "budget" travellers and we thouroughly enjoyed the experience of staying in a 5 star hotel for a couple of nights during our last two days in Oslo. The breakfast menu was top rate (first class). I thought the bathroom needed some "touch up" work. The baseboard to the bathroom door was rotted and unpleasant to look at while attending the "throne." Other than that the location, decor, staff, was excellant. |

First room we were shown in new wing was small, horrible and grim. Hotel room we took was very faded and beat up and needed redecoration (although was 100% better than first room) as did hallway to room. Also, as room faced front of hotel the noise level from the street on Friday and Saturday nights sounded like a combat zone until 3 in the morning. |

The staff was especially helpful. The food was excellent. I liked the swimming pool and sauna. Our room was very small. I was a little disappointed because I arranged for us and our friends to stay at your hotel, but we got a much smaller room.. Otherwise everything was fine. |

accomodations were lovely and the breakfast buffet was outstanding our room was not available at check-in (4 pm) and the staff was not especially sensitive or accomodating about this. Also, rooms on the fourth and fifth floors require negotating several steps which is cumbersome with luggage |

The upgrade to a Ladies Room. It made the experience so much more. Staff at reception gave one of our rooms away by mistake and we had to wait and got a much lower grade as no other rooms were available. |

Unexpected luxury of a suite when only booked a double room. Good internet price for 2 nights.Ease of phoning up hotel direct from UK, getting very good English speaking reception staff who extended the stay for both couples on the booking without any fuss or problems. Venue- ideal for city sights, public transport. Breakfasts were excellent.All staff knowledgable, polite, good English, went out of their way to help One of the double rooms was adequate, but with a wet room shower arrangement that was not anywhere near as good as the upgraded suite on the same booking. Perhaps if both rooms had been identical, even though we were very appreciative of the upgrade, then comparisons could not have been made! The room was changed to one with a bath/shower as soon as one became available |
