Overlooking Oslo from above Holmenkollen, Voksenåsen is surrounded by nature, just under half a mile from the Voksenkollen metro station, which provides service to the center of the city.
Score from 365 reviews Very good
Perfect location for a couple that just got married.
Difficult to book activities, such as spa in the lobby.
the view e nature
small bedrooms and very old beds, also smal beds
September 1st and already winter decorations out is new, and i liked it. It has its best location and Holmenkollen Park is my hotel of choice, every time i visit oslo. Daytime bar & night time lounge is great when having visitors.
A plain and cheap breakfast is nothing to invite my business contacts with. Coffee sirup-machine has got nothing to do in such a great hotel and should be banned. Bean grinder and fresh brewed coffee is a must. Long corridors to get to the "new
The ambience, great view of the city, good food and gives a touch of Norwegian taste
The bed was too soft, pillows were of poor quality and room was small
Excellent breakfast buffet, beautiful location
The first time we stayed there we had a modern renovated room that was amazing. The second time the room was old and rundown. Be sure to ask for a newer room.
Good restaurants, nice with a Swimming pool a Jacuzzi, Wonderful view (if you book the right room).
No mini-bar in the room , even if it says on home page and leaflet in the room that all room should have a one. Far from city centre => very expensive to take a cab to and from city. Wi-Fi is unstable in the room.
Very reach breakfast. Excellent place with beautiful views
The was only one teabag in the double room and nobody added more after the 1st night. Staff was cleaning tables too slowly during tables. Located far away from city center. It takes at least 30 minutes to get to the hotel on the train from city center
Good variety for the breakfast Nice staff in the breakfast room Staff at front desk very helpful
Eventhough we asked for a room with a view over the fjord we received the opposite. Staff at front desk at checkin not friendly at all
Quite good in general Fast and reliable WiFi
5-10 minutes walk to a train station then additional 10 minutes to the city center
Beautiful view, Modern comfort interior design, good breakfast
Beautiful and charming hotel. Incredible views of the city.super comfortable room in the new building side of the hotel. Easy access to hiking and the Ski jump.
Pets in the guest room is not acceptable at all This the worst thing in this hotel
Excellent views Good sized room, very comfortable and attractive Breakfast is simply the best I've had Location is out of town but well connected Bathroom nice
Only small complaint, if I had to make one would have been lack of clothes storage space. Not a major issue though
Very friendly and helpful staff
No ice from the ice machine on my landing. Room fridge empty.
Great views of Oslo, access to ski jump and woodland trails and public transport
Hotel rooms need remodeling; not just dated but worn. There are NO rooms in old original wood building, and hotel does nothing for guests wanting to see and enjoy the old building and its architecture. Best accessible views are in main restaurant but this is a fraction of the building.
Abundant great Breakfast Stunning Views Close to endless walking or jogging tracks in the forest Friendly staff
views size of room breakfast location
dining room rather cramped
Getting the metro into town
the pool area was suppose to be a quite zone but it was packed with screaming kids jumping into the pool
The view. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.
Location and hotel is fabulous, truly out of a fairy tail. The main restaurant is fantastic. Breakfasts are out of this world. Bathroom is sparkling. Staff is great, very friendly and helpful.
Access is a little difficult with luggage. The hill is very steep. While absolutely excellent, the main restaurant is very expensive. The room is great but the beds are very small and narrow for US taste. Carpet is a little old.
I was pleasantly surprised by the enormous variety of the breakfast! It was difficult to choose what to eat ;-). I have never seen such tremendous breakfast before! The pizza restaurant in the hotel was very affordable, compared to other restaurants. So there is no need to go anywhere else for diner, unless you don't like pizza...
I can't think of anything that I didn't like. Even the wheather was great! :-)
Why not a better barmenu. A pizzeria in a Hotel such this one... Who came up with that idea. Had to go out to eat for three days.
Location and room view
Lot of noise from outside work late night (till after midnight)
The place is amazing, although it is a bit uphill from the train station. But very nice walk. The braekfast is great and the stuff very helpful.
Its a bit run down, the air conditioning does not work. The dors vere locked by some paper so we could not open them the first night and it was terribly hot in the room. They fixed it later but the aircon cannot be really regulated at all.We had the economy room and it was very small and very far to walk to.
