Hotel Vic  

The cleaning of the bath room was not good. There was only soap inside of the shower cabinet.

The Hotel Vic is in a good location in the centre of Porsgrunn and was ideally located for shopping and / or business meetings. It is clean and the staff are polite and speak good English if your not a Norweigan speaker.

The hotel furniture in my particular room was only fair, the lamp shade fell apart when I touched it, the light switches took a while to work out.... You would think that there should be 1 or 2 switches to turn the lights on to the room by the door, however, all the light switches are on each individual light, which is a bit of a pain when your new to the room. There was nobody behind the bar to serve us when we arrived, it wasn't particularly late however, there never seemed to be anyone serving. Considering the price that was paid for the room, I would say that it was overall an fair / average hotel, certainly room for improvement. I would recommend the hotel because the location is good and the rooms are clean, which at the end of the day is all you need.

I had a very great stay at the hotel and the staff are very friendly and helpful

It is totally overpriced, compared to similar hotels in Norway and other countries, as it has no compitition in Porsgrunn and therefore the only choice.

Jag fick ett jättestort och fint rum! Underbart badrum! Stor, fin tv och säng. Superfint! Trevlig personal.

Det var någonting som lät heeeela tiden, kanske någon typ av ventilation. Det bara surrade I huvudet till slut så det gjorde det svårt att sova.

Det som skiller seg mest ut fra det "vanlige" hotellopphold er at kjøkkenet er utmerket, med høy kvalitet. Middagen var en svært positiv overraskelse og frokosten helt utmerket, med en kokk som var tilstede og stekte egg etter hvert. Driver selv innen småskala turisme etter over tretti år som faglærer innen hotell og restaurant, samt langvarig medlemsskap I Kokkenes Mesterlaug. Dette oppholdet var en meget positiv opplevelse. Per Tore Uteng/Sjøtun Brygge Tromsø/eks Tromsø Kokk og Stuertskole.

Hade varit trevligt med en parkering litet närmare hotellet.

Det var første gang vi lå på Vic. Stort rom m/salong, Flott variert frokost. Dette er et hotell vi vil bruke neste gang vi skal overnatte I Porsgrunn.

Ikke direkte klage; men toalett var veldig nærme døren og man kunne ha byttet ut badekaret med dusj.
