location, self catering, roomy
noisy on party nights from the street.
Thin red curtains that let light through
Location Excellent sofa/dining area Quiet even though in city centre Very easy to find from train station Staff were quite chatty and tried to help with anything we asked of them
The bed was very uncomfortable, the mattress topper was too thin and I had to request a new one TV channels were limited to 4, signal not very good Needs a toaster for breakfast and English breakfast tea!
big clean room with good kitchen.
the central location the roomy family apartment the cleanliness and modernity the facilities the fabulous breakfast
the errection of a crane outside our bedroom window the whole of the night we were there
Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice. location was good (except for late night noise) at front of hotel.
The windows only opened 3-4" at the top, the weather was very hot, sun on windows most of day. Room was unbearably hot. Unable to cook, due to the heat, in the room. Noise at night, was bad, due to taxi rack, outside hotel - so all the drunks, made they way there! Breakfast room was very odd - in a dark night club like, venue.
Perfect location in the center, large rooms, comfortable large shower room, nice breakfast, very good wifi sugnal, clean, nice small kitchen in the room.
The inside rooms of the building turn to a very dirty yard, a lot of noise of workmanship during our time there.
location is good. I like there has kitchen.
Washing machine and dryer available free Good position to see places of interest Fairly good position in relation to train station Good position in relation to Flybus from airport
No air con & no fan available No towel rails in bathroom Intercom doesn't work so unable to contact reception desk from room Hot water heater in a dangerous position leading to head bumps
Front desk staff were extremely accommodating. We had to change our room twice as there were problems with the original room and the second one. We were upgraded to an extremely nice room at no extra charge. Great location - near shopping and restaurants, and an easy walk to Central Station. The hotel rooms are more like apartments, with a complete kitchen in each one. While we made little use of our kitchen, this would be very helpful for folks trying to save money by cooking their own food.
Hotel seems to be poorly designed or mismanaged. It is relatively new but many things are already in disrepair, such as a leaky bathroom sink and a TV that did not work. Our first room had an overhang outside that was covered in tar. As the weather was extremely hot, the overhang absorbed a tremendous amount of heat which was reflected back into the room, making it uninhabitable. Bergen tends to be cool and rainy, so the bedrooms are located far away from the windows, and therefore have limited ventilation. Without air conditioning (which is typical for Norway), ours was quite warm and airless.
free washing machine breakfast included upgraded when we had a problem convenient location
air conditioning didn't work in our original room, or the room we were upgraded to.
Location, very central
- Very laud....no ventilation, you have to open the windows. - We found a lot of hears in the bed - No proper curtains...the room was dark for only 3 hours during night. - Location for the breakfast under renovation...alternative location was very poor. Such jobs should be done during wintertime. - No parking facilities or discount...
Nice that breakfast was free. Was 5 min walk from the Old Town Bryggen.
The apartment is a bit old.
Sofa not comfortable
Price is good for Norway. Very big room and good location. Breakfast was not very much, but it was good.
The location--it's close to many worthwhile sites and shopping areas.
The staff were dismissive, the place was unclean, to include the dryer lint and the floor trash, the noise level was intolerable, and the beds were like cheap slabs.
Location room kitchen bed clean
Hotel Location was very nice.
1)Room light in living room was broken(not turn on) so inform to reception staff but never action taken during stay!! 2) Place of breakfast was different place of information. It was underground and very dark place.
Spacious room. Laundry available for free.
The room was too hot. We couldn't control the temperature. It was summer and we didn't need the room to be heated.
Great location, clean and good facilities
hotel is very close to the city center
Awfull service, rude personnel, filthty rooms. We arrived at 4 a.m., (super tired) and it toook the guy 30 min (!!!!) to make a check-in. He also said that the breakfast is served from 8 to 10.00. The info desks around the hotel stated the same timings. To my surprise when next morning I arrived to the bar (they serve breakfast in the bar nearby, since don't have any public areas in their "hotel") at 9.45 (and it was quite a challenge to wake up after short sleep) I was told that the brekfast is actually served only till 9.30 and it's not THEIR problem I didn't know that. The guy in the bar was also rude (he said he has nothing to do with the hotel and that they mislead the clients) and I was refused even a glass of water....The girl at the reception also said "it happens" and didn't even apologize! A part from this corridors in the hotel are quite dirty and ugly. It is not even an hotel, but kind of rented rooms.
Polite and friendly staff; great location. Ideal for families or groups.
Almost too roomy - which is unusable - for two people. Probably why the tariff is so high. We saved a lot of money by moving to other accommodation nearby which was far better but cost one third less.
Staff was friendly
The place is in serious need of updating. Heater was falling off the wall. Walls need painting and repair. All areas need cleaning. Bookings.com need to start checking their hotels out. So far three hotels have not been good they were all a one star at best.
Good location, well-equipped kitchen with which we cooked the seafood bought in the fish market for our dinner. That was quite fun.
We can hear the noises from the bar which is at the other side oh the road. A little noisy
