As perfect as the glorious fjords. The location is superb for country strolls and hikes.

Close to the hotel is a very famous medieval church, however, "someone" had departed with the key and was not available anywhere - including the tourist information. I suggest that the hotel takes this business in hand and enables tourists to visit this site.

In Kinsarvik there are no other restaurants so the hotel is your only choice if you want to have some dinner. Small menu, very high priced for average quality. Breakfast ok, but they wanted to charge us 50 NKR for 3 sandwiches we wanted to take.

My partner and I found all of the staff to be very friendly and helpful at all times.The rooms were very comfortable and clean with good views of the fantastic scenery. The hotel being in Kinsarvik is an excellent base to travel to the surrounding sights during the day and the ferry just across the road allows easy access to the towns on the opposite side of Hardanger Fjord. The hotel is also very family friendly with good facilities for children and a nearby water-park. The walk up the Husadalen Valley behind Kinsarvik to the many waterfalls was amazing! We where awestruck at the size and power of the falls and the scale of the mountains is hard to describe. The Kinsarvik Fjord Hotel will be recommended to my friends and also my parents who will be in Norway next year. It was also special for me as my family name (Harding) originated in the region. Thank you.

The only thoughts we had were that the coffee shop next door was a bit to modern for the area and a more traditional decor would be more inviting.

Only a handful of guests, due to the season - actually, this time of year is kind of no season at all. The friendly staff tried to give them a good time and spoke excellent English. Had a good dinner (soup, roast meat, potatoes), which was nice to provide from the kitchen seen the limited number of guests. Breakfast buffet huge and sufficient for at least a dozen more guests. Different types of jam, cheese, meat, fish, plus different fruit juices, fresh fruit .... Had a good sleep in a lake- side room (414). Bedroom plain and simple, equipped as described. Storage for luggage and clothing limited. Balcony was a nice touch – alone, if guests in neighbouring rooms smoke on their balconies, the non- smoking policy does not really have an effect. But this is up to the guests, the hotel cannot do much about it. Bathtub with shower with ok- ish water pressure. Floor heating is a nice touch. Instable WiFi. Access to power sockets ok-ish. Bar looks nice, but was (as expected) closed for the season. Good location to explore the area, easy to access by car. To sum it up: Got everything I needed, stay was quite pleasant.

Nothing that had any influence on my stay, just some thoughts: The restaurant is one huge no-frills room, with almost no decoration and very plain tables and chairs. It has fjord-view – but for the lone person it is not really a relaxing place. Maybe add some dividers to create somewhat intimacy. The clamp of the shower head holds on while the shower head is inserted, as soon as removed, it crashes down on the little shelf with the soap and shampoo (and my glasses). Maybe exchange them for a different type, which stays put. Maybe consider to extend the non-smoking policy to the balconies, but most of the smokers I know would not understand and just keep on

Nice spacious rooms with balcony, lots of parking space, nice view from the room, quiet, good breakfast and Wifi with acceptable speed.

åPningstiden om kvelden kunne vært noe lenger I restauranten (for sent ankomne gjester) Heisen trenger oppgradering.

床单上有好几根毛发，第二天醒来，身上被跳蚤咬了好几口。

Likte oss bra på hotellet. Vi spiste i restauranten på hotellet om kvelden. God mat, men man bør kjøpe forrett også. For bare hovedrett var litt lite mat. Ingenting å utsette på hotellet.

Bra hotell, med hyggelig betjening. Men beliggenheten er helt fantastisk. Å sitte på balkongen med en 'liten en' (Vodka/Sprite) og nyte utsikten i kveldsolen var kjempefint. Kommer meget gjerne tilbake til KFH.
