The breakfast was attractive, varied and tasted good. All served in a lovely room with quiet customers. The historic room we stayed in was spacious and well appointed. A fine introduction to Norway for those travelling to Torp who would like to delay the long haul to Oslo. We travelled up the next day by train. Sandefjord is far more atractive and worth visiting than any website had led us to believe. We have already started looking for flights. The room was a little cold to our taste. One of us found it cold all night. The bathroom is a bit small and miserable. |

Although the twin beds were fairly narrow (they zip together to form a double) they extremely comfortable! We slept really well. The breakfast buffet was delicious and so beautifully presented in an elegant room with tasteful antique furniture and silver candelabra in the historic part of the hotel that I had to take a photo! The bedroom in the extension was a bit jaded with rather shabby old furniture and no bed heads. The ensuite bathroom was rather dingy. There was an unpleasant 'sour cloth smell' in bathroom on arrival, which had improved by the time we left. |

The staff on reception was friendly and helpful.Sandefjord is a lovely norwegian town. There are several really good restaurants (try one of them "Kokeriet" on brygga 1-3) in town which offer fantastic norwegian food. Carpets were old and dirty. There were not english tv chanels in single room #20. It was impossible to use dush, there were no hangers in the bathroom.Cleaning staff did a bad jobb. It was much lower then the average norwegian hotel standart for such high price. This is a question of owners/managers how to use a really one of the oldest hotels in Norway. |

The whole ambience and old world charm was unbeatable. Comfort second to none. Breakfast was first class. (Prawns and roast beef if you wanted it!) One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and small enough to still have the personal touch. And for Norway the price was very reasonable. |

Friendly staff, no hassle. Even though the reservation via booking.com had not been received by the hotel staff, a room was quickly prerared for me. |

Location near to bus and train stations restaurants supermarket and many of the places of interest to tourists. No milk provided for advertised free tea and coffee in afternoon and evening and on obtaining some from the reluctant receptionist it was sour.I stayed for 6 nights and by the end of the week was ready to smash the CD player having heard the same disc all week. |

Polite staff, good breakfast and an excellent location. Our room was a good size and very comfortable. Although in the town centre the hotel is in a quiet street. Generally no. However the carpets in the part of the hotel we stayed in will require updating. |

The hotel was clean, comfortable and well situated in a very pleasant small town. Easy acces to hourly train service to Oslo and convenient for Tor Airport.Staff quiet, friendly and very helpful There were little steps all over the hotel and I had the misfortune to suffer a fall.Staff at hotel, paramedics and hospital could not have been more helpful. |

Helpful staff, good breakfast, clean and quiet. Small thing, but important when one needs a taxi to catch a flight: reception bell didn't work! |

I liked the friendliness of the staff. The fact that you were greeted warmly and then left to jus relax and enjoy your stay. The breakfasts were of a very high standard, indeed outstanding! All in all, a great hotel to stay at. |

Vestfold’s biggest hotel is located on the quayside and this design hotel is shaped like a ship’s bow that stretches out over the sea. |
