Midtnes Hotel

wonderful service, great chap in the reception, really cool breakfast served with love in cozy room.

Reception area and the relaxing rooms (there's more than one), are charming and a delight to be in. The sumptuous dinner can only be describe as make sure you don't each lunch before. So glad we stayed there.

The Midtnes Hotel was everything that we were hoping for. The location was great, with excellent views over the fjords. It was in the center of the village, so everything was a short walk away. The staff was very responsive and pleasant. The breakfast was excellent.

Not much, but it was quiet

1. Problem with parking space 2. The shower is practically above the toilet seat! After showering all of the 2 meters square of bathroom are flooded. 3. No tv set in the room. It may be O.K. But better knowing beforehand. 4. Impossible to make dark in the room, and sunset is at 23.00 and sunrise at 05.00!

Very simple room but very comfortable. Building and furnitures at waiting room were beautiful. I enjoyed and relaxed at my stay. I'd like to recommend anyone, who visits Balestrand and wants to relax, to stay this hotel.

Staff, Location

We had a twin and a single room. The twin had a lovely view over the fjord.

For the money we thought it a little basic. We particularly missed having tea/coffee making facilities in our rooms - you have to go downstairs and ask for staff to make beverages, at the usual Norwegian prices !

Magnicent view of the fiord from our room. Breakfasts were wonderful. Excellent location.

Only one hair dryer for whole hotel so had to keep returning it to the desk or could not get it.

Preis-Leistungsverhältnis im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels in Norwegen ist nicht gut. 200 NOK (ca. 30 Euro) zusätzlich für ein Kinderbett zu verlangen ist bei den stolzen Preisen definitiv zu viel

Gemütliches Hotel in guter erreichbarer Lage. Freundliches Personal, noch vernünftige Preise. Verpflegung bestens. Hotel ist zu empfehlen.

Location...Location...etc. The staff was reasonably helpful and picked us up at the Ferry landing. The room had a great view of the Fjord and was reasonably sized for two people.

Furnishings in the room were spartan and somewhat worn. The Bathrooms required the most work. The shower arrangement was unsatisfactory and would be the primary consideration on whether I booked there again or recommended it to others.
