Staff friendly. Single room contemporary, very comfortable, felt like a small flat with its own front door rather than hotel room. Single bed extremely cosy with luxurious mattress topper for added comfort. Staff lovely, I didn't pay my bill initially and had to return to hotel to do so. The staff very understanding and were concerned that I made my flight in time. Would certainly stay again.

The scenery was fantastic, we had a room overlooking the lake.

The food was expensive

Loved the position. Had a large room with amazing views of the mountains, water and ships. If you were disabled, the rooms too would have been easy to navigate, especially the bathroom. The reception staff were friendly and capable. The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our stay there.

Found the wine bottle prices very expensive. But then again, this is Norway, where even a beer across the counter costs about $10 Australia.

The breakfast was being served from 06:30am, when I had breakfast at around 08:30 I got the impression that the coffee had been kept warm on a plate for a long time, at least the coffee didn't taste good and it took me a while to find staff to notiy this. There were some other details reminding me that the breakfast session opened two hours before. Overall, I was satisfied with this hotel, but the attention to details makes a good hotel an excellent hotel.

Staff were very friendly and helpful when we arrived. The food served in the restaurant was good but pricey and I would recommend you take a walk up the road to find other choices

The ongoing improvements of the hotel meant very limited parking.

When we arrived the hotel was completely full. Despite the fact that we booked standard double-room we got splendid top-suit for the same money with beautiful view on the sea.

A very nice place to stay. Room was quite spacious. The Staff at the front desk were quite friendly and helpful. Location right on the Fjord was beautiful.

We sked for a room with a Fjord view in our comments on Booking.com, but advised on arrival that we are only offered economy street side rooms. Bathroom/toilet had see thru curtains.

Excellent staff at receptiondesk and in restaurant. Although breakfast starts at 6 am there was no problem to provide me a good breakfast at 5 am.

Stunning views out over the fjord. Hotel is in the town centre with guest parking just outside. Great location for window shopping and just enjoying the atmosphere.

It wasn't apparent when we booked that only the 'standard' rooms have a view, the 'economy' rooms are on the street side of the building and the 'economy' single room we were offered had one small window at knee level!

The higher-category room we switched up to was very roomy, clean and comfortable with a view to the water. Because there was an unpleasant odor in the bathroom, the hotel staff were flexible enough to negotiate a reduced rate!

Although the windows "opened" they really only opened a tiny bit to allow a miniscule amount of air to get through.

Lovely architect designed building with nautical ambience. Spotless well managed hotel in excellent harbour side location. Very good professional staff proud of their work and hotel. Excellent dining room menu and food. All very comfortable and enjoyable. Now I wish we had stayed there longer!

Some confusion over booking standard/superior rooms. We were travelling as 2 couples and had been only able to book 1 std and 1 superior rooms yet when we arrived they upgraded us to 2 superior rooms (2 standards may have been adequate) but tried to charge 100NOK more for the room upgraded on arrival. When we pointed out we did not think this fair they quickly dropped the 100NOK extra charge.
