My City Home    

First of all - location - in the city center, 7-10 minutes walking distance from the train station, and all paces to walk around in the city. Staff was very friendly and helpfull - advised us not only on attractions, but also gave some usefull tips how to get arround. Room was nice and clean, free WiFi worked fine.

There were no breakfast at all :(

Location was great. Clean and newly renovated. No traffic disturbing.

A small double bed. Not possible to have twin beds. We had ordered breakfast, that was not possible.

New and modern appartment. Nice bed with convenient madresses, kitchen with all facilities. Very conveniently located, just in the middle of the centrum and only 50 meters from Central station which is perfect for those who is travelling. Even though it is in the centrum it was very quiet. To this you do not feel that you live in a hotel, you have the freedom having your own key which opens all the doors including gate.

The rooms was perfect.

Missing a few things like hangers, clean glasses, iron and a few other small things. A sour cleaning lady.

Location was perfect, heart of Oslo, the staff was REALLY, REALLY nice and polite, very helpful to find the landmarks!!

Kitchenette is very useful. Location is superb. Our room on the top floor was so quite,it really felt like we were the only ones there. Staff were helpful and friendly. Can not comment on breakfast as we made our own.

The beds are narrow,but I expected this from other reviews. Luckily we were put in a 2 bedded room which worked great. One bed for 2 tall people would have been a squeeze.

It was a delightful urban get-away in a great location off the main walking street in Oslo. It had all the basics, roomier than a hotel room and a perfect way to enjoy the tastes of Norway with partial kitchen amenities.

i like the location very much. it is accessible to many places of interest.

The room was warm, comfortable and clean. It was also equipped with a small kitchenette and dining area which more than met our needs. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is conveniently situated near the shopping district and a short walk from the train station. Would definitely recommend for a short or long term stay.

When we first arrived the door to our room wouldn't open, and we had to seek assistance. And the door to the bathroom was see-through. In regards to the latter, I'm sure that this does not affect many people but there was a feeling of a lack of privacy about it.

Good central location, close to main railway station and all other public transport. Very friendly and helpful reception.

The downside of being in a central location was some noise at night, but it was no worse than most other central hotels in big cities. The kitchen equipment was not extensive - no corkscrew, and the only 'sharp' knife was not very good.

The location is excellent and despite being in city centre we found it very quiet and peaceful.

It could do with more cooking and cleaning utensils.

Complete small apartment. I did not use the kitchen but it had a complete small kitchen with 2 of every plate,spoon, glass, etc. Easy walk from the train/bus stations, castle, royal palace, and shopping.

Our room did not have pillow cases. Everything else was good.

The location was excellent! Very close to City Center, Karl Johan's Gate half a block away, close to shops, restaurants, stores, transit, the Castle, the Palace, Museums! Linda was very warm and friendly and charming and did her best to make us feel comfortable and welcome. Very informative and helpful! Told us where to shop for food, which stores charge 'local' prices, which ones to avoid because of 'tourist' prices. The Apartment was well fitted, everything you need to cook if you like, or simply lounge around. Large, spacious, good shower, everything brand new!

The bathroom door wasn't fitted properly so we had to lift it to open and close it, and a couple of lights didn't work, and one day (out if the three we were there) there was a server issue for the wireless, but other than that it was great value for the money and we loved staying there!

Very happy with my experiance.... -Thon hotel are ridiculusly more expensive, very bad pillow. I got so upset, and was SOOOO happy when I found My City Home. Will not even look further on my next trip to Oslo....simply booking there directly!

Too small bed for two persons - at least for my taste

Located on a quiet street in the city centre. Kitchen utensils and crockery are provided. The room is well-furnished so if you are staying for an extended period there would be plenty of storage space.

The reception was not manned in the morning while it was supposed to be, and while I had left a message saying we'd arrive early. We couldn't get in to leave our bags. Had to call and leave a voice message before someone came to let us in.

It was very near to the station, main street and pubs and clubs

Even though it was mentioned on the web, there were no irons and receptionist said there was none. Kitchen needs a few more stuff especially dish cloths and rack etc

The location is great, you could couldn't get much closer to the centre of Oslo. Having an apartment given the cost of eating out in Oslo was an absolute god send. Linda at reception was really jolly and helpful. We had a studio apartment but was plenty big enough with a sofa and dining table and lots of space. Private, clean and great location

Could have done with a few more pots, cooking utensils and tea cloth would be only request
