The hotel is situated between the ocean and Breiavatnet. Right by the old city. Very small room with no pleasure. No wardrobe or a place to lay our clothes. Very small doubleroom and double bed. Very noisy.

Excellent location. Very good breakfast. Helpful staff. Room was tiny. Only one chair in double room. No closet noise from street. No A.C. But too hot to keep windows closed. Silly fake fireplace took up valuable space.

Great looking hotel with a very good location. The breakfast was lovely. Stayed in a junior suite which was modern yet comfortable. At night it could get quite noisy from the street, even with the windows closed. We also asked the receptionist to take a look at our room because of a leaking toilet that kinda bothered us. That never happened.

Great location in Stavanger near the port The hotel had no bar which was a real dissapointment. Also our room was on the fifth floor but the lift only went to the fourth floor which meant humphing our own cases up and down the stairs and along various corridors which was not ideal.

Location, design, breakfast We did not like lack of bathrobes and slippers, showercaps and other little things that usually make living in 4-star hotels pleasant. Moreover, we'd prefer to live in the hotel with restaurant and room service available.

Great place! Nice big rooms with nice fake fireplace which give a special warmth to the room! Nespresso Machine in the room and at reception!!! Wow! Brilliant idea! Nice breakfast and lovely personnel! Perfect central location for both: business and visiting the area! Windows insulation not as good as it should. Street cleaners making a lot of noise from 6:00 am with their pavement cleaning machines! Get some earplugs!

Well located and confortable bed Not a design hotel for sure. No point in having a flat screen Tv just for 3/4 channels. Toilet too small. The "evening meal" is just a soup. I remember last time I've been in this hotel soup, various types of bread, cheeses, salads and a hot plate were available. Very poor value for money.

The beds and the rooms are very comfortable, although the bathrooms are tiny. The staff were friendly (with the exception of the chef cooking the breakfast - who was miserable). The rooms are well appointed and maintained. For the price it was a great hotel. The bathrooms were very small and I couldn't get behind the sink; which was beside the shower.

This is a nice hotel in a great location. It is just a 5 minute walk from the Fiskerpirterminalen where most of the ferries are located and right in the center where all the shops and restaurants can be found. The Petroleum Museum (which we saw) is also just a 5 minute walk from the hotel and is situated right next to this unusual Grafitti Kids Park (also worth a quick look). If you are staying in Stavanger on a Sunday...be aware that no shops are open...so use this day to do other things. As to our room...it wasn't large, but not small either. The bed was extremely comfortable. This hotel offers free wifi, but the connection was horrible in my room. We had to leave early (earlier than breakfast is served) on both mornings of our two day stay at this hotel. On both days, the staff was extremely accommodating to offer to serve us an early breakfast (included in the hotel price). I also felt that they went above and beyond when I asked them if they could make me and my husband sandwiches to take with us for our hike to Pulpit Rock. Not only did they do so, but they gave them to us for free! Lastly, we ate dinner in their hotel restaurant Piccolo. Scanda (sp?), the chef, was awesome. He even made my father potato soup from scratch (an item that was not even on the menu). Overall, I feel that this hotel goes above and beyond and would recommend it wholeheartedly! The wifi connection was weak and kept dropping. Very annoying.
