For the money we paid, you'd think they'd have a gym or pool
Very nice place

Like most ski resorts, this place needs sauna / hot tub. They say these are planned for future building, but not yet ready.
Outstanding location at beautiful ski mountain. Definite ski in / ski out arrangement with ski rental etc. right next door. This is a new resort hotel, all clean and in great condition.

Price level on food! You cannot attract foreigners with price level on food like this. I understand alcohol taxes and accept that. But for families staying there the price level is just insane and. Also after ski place only open on Saturday and closes rest of the week at 4??? hmmm is that a good business decision?
New hotel, free wifi, kids pay 50% on menu one of the restaurant big bonus as price level is just redicilous and you have no way to run in the evening your stuck in the hotel.

Weekends tend to be noisy with the nightclub. Also prices in Norway is quite expensive... Especially drinks.
Such a quiet resort, with excellent skiing area on/off piste. Hotel is five star with excellent food. Staff and Norwegians very friendly.

There was a general lack of staff at the front desk especially during busy periods. If you can check in/out, buy ski passes, buy toiletries, snacks etc, enquire about new property developments etc etc then you need to have more people working on the front desk...I waited over 25 mins to check out at 10.00 and then my son waited 20 mins to buy a candy bar at 15,45 ! In addition the bar should be open before 4pm, especially for hot chocolate/coffee/soft drinks etc. An opportunity for a hot tub / Jacuzzi would have been s bonus !
Very stylish hotel in a beautiful and slope side location for skiing. Breakfast choice was good and plentiful. Room was stylish, very comfortable and clean.

I missed the possibility to make a cup of coffee in the room, and an open bar in the evenings - no activities in the summer?
good size on the rooms

It is a little too family friendly which I guess is great if you are a family. However, children running up and down the corridors quite late into the night was a bit annoying. There is really nothing to do there after seven when the apres ski bar closes. The hotel would benefit from a gym, pool, games room or pretty much anything as Myrkdalen itself is not exactly a hub of night time activity. If you stay more than four nights you will run out of menu variety in the two restaurants unless you consider a different pizza topping variety. Though both pretty good, the restaurants had an alarmingly limited menu and both offered the same two desserts. I would have liked to see a little focus on cross country skiing. Nobody seemed to know anything about where to go or how to get there and yet there are some fantastic trails in the vicinity. Service was not great anywhere in the hotel but having said that, this is Myrkdalen. It is a small place, a little provincial and not really attempting to be anything more so this hotel is probably fine given the location.
The hotel is clean and perfectly located for the downhill ski slope.

Extremely expensive to eat or drink- transport to and from hotel to Voss very limited unless using a taxi which would have been nearly £90 one way for 15 km- skiing day finished too early 4 pm- nothing much for older children to do after 4 pm- evening meals limited choice and exhorbitant prices
Location for skiing to door and skiing facilities- good breakfasts and lunches
March 8, 2014
Extremely unfriendly reception staff, not at all welcoming and totally unhelpful. One of the two restaurants at the hotel shut from Sunday to Wednesday leaving only the very expensive restaurant open of an evening. The hotel was like a ghost town from Sunday evening until Wednesday
Location was great Very clean Great view
