Best Western Karl Johan Hotel  

Umístění v centru města, pěší dostupnost do všech zajímavých objektů, blízkost pobřeží, řada restaurací v okolí. Příjemné prostředí v hotelu, zajímavý interiér.

The staff were really helpful and friendly - they went out of their way to make our stay more enjoyable. I have recommended the hotel to my friends and will definately return to it.

Location was perfect. Room size and decor was very good.

Like a lot of Norwegian Hotels, Best Western also had extremely spongy beds with ultra-soft matresses. VERY uncomfortable for the back and to sleep on. Fortunately, the room was big enough for me to to put the top matress (60mm thick) on the floor and sleep on that. I got some fairly reasonable sleep after that.

-Brakfast is too late, starting at 7 A.M. -Room card was disactivated day of departure very earlier morning, could not enter the room after cup of morning coffe (breakfast was not yet available)

Good service, and very polite and kind staff

The hotel is very nicely in the middle of town, i.e. walking distance to most offices where you may have meetings. A grand staircase speaks about an interesting past, and all hallways are very nicely decorated with paintings, old furniture, mirrors etc. The room was comfortable and the wifi good. There is a business center that you can use if relevant once you have checked out.

Centrally located, clean, nice staff. I had a single room and it was a very tiny room, but OK for a short stay.

Excellent central location - close to museums, shopping, and food. Complimentary breakfast was fine.

Being right on Karl Johan Gate, and above a bar, our room was very noisy at night. The windows don't provide much soundproofing.

Great location. Easy access to train (from Oslo airport to city), shopping centers, historical sites walking distance. Lots of variety of dining place but expensive.

Noise from the street. However, if you ask for higher level room (above second floor) inside room--the noise will be less. Breakfast is average but fresh baked breads--great.

It is a rather rundown hotel with a nice fasade, but aged facilities inside, which are poorly maintained. The pipes sing. You can also hear clearly the next rooms conversations. Breakfast quality is poor. The hotel has no restaurant for lunch or diner. Some employees are reather rude. It is advertised as an art gallery, but it is really a tasteless collection of unorganized paintings, most of them cheap copies. In general, it is too expensive for the service you get.
