The hotel is in a great location lots of bars restaurants shops beside the hotel. The staff are very friendly. The hotel interior is tasteful and well maintained.
Location was key advantage. Hotel facilities are good for a refurbished old building.
Room furnishings need an update and more thoughtful design
breakfast was poor and you did not feel like you were an apriciatet guest.
THE NOISE COMING FROM THE AIRCONDITION MACHINES AT THE BACK AREA OF THE HOTEL DURING THE NIGHT
Quiet room in back of hotel. We would rather have a quiet room with no view that noise from the street
The staffs were great, a helpful lot. They were always very jovial, helps lightened up the day. I requested for a room change because mine was overlooking another dull building just opposite the road. The next day, they gave me a room facing the hotel frontage, the very happening Karl Johan street. The location of the hotel is very central, near to the bus/train terminal. The harbour area is just 15 minutes walk away. The rooms were very clean, nothing grand but comfortable. There are many restaurants around the area so food is never a problem. This hotel is an ideal place to watch the world go by. There are so many people in the area.
I am satisfied with the hotel. Breakfast spread can be improved though
Receptionist re allocated a room without any problem. Issue resolved by the time I returned to my room. Finally spoke to the manager about all the issues she seemed seriously concerned.
Originally put into a nonsmoking room where someone had smoked. Most of the staff were very helpful except one receptionist who didn't interact with customers. Had to tell staff they'd forgotten to leave towels in the room. My room with all my possessions was left wide open after it had been cleaned. I found it open when I returned in the evening. Nothing had been taken.
The location was excellent for accessing all the sights in the city and for shopping and the station
The room was adequate but looking tired and worn. You had to run the hot tap for several minutes before you got any hot water then if you turned it off you needed to repeat the same process to get more hot water. The breakfast room was poor for a hotel of this quality
The location is great, in the main street of Oslo, near all cafès and 15 minutes walking from train Central Station. Breakfast is excellent, regarding variety and quality.
Every night, about 12 pm, there was a noise coming from some kitchen inside the hotel or from some restaurant nearby. Wi-fi is so so... signal depends on the position you are in the room.
The rooms were clean and spacious enough, and the staff was friendly. I reallz enjoyed the breakfast buffet, you have a lot of Choice and for every taste they have something. I was staying in the Third floor and my wifi signal was weak but still good enough. It is a really Nice hotel with a beautiful staircase and a lot of Nice paintings.
The location of the hotel has its up- and downsides. Upside is that is located Close to the Nationaltheater (metro, tram, bus), to the Royal Palace, and in the shopping street of Oslo with a lot of Nice restaurants. The downside is that at night when you want to sleep, the street is VERY very noisy. If you leave the Windows closed it's fine, but when you like to open the Windows at night you better bring a pair of earplugs! Well it's not the hotel fault in that sense but you should be aware of this problem!
The position is great, the staff is very helpfull and kind
Some rooms are very noisy when you open the windows but windows are well isolated
Location is perfect. Reception personnel helpful and courteous. Breakfast very good.
Late night pounding music. Breakfast room was super crowded. Maybe the guest could be asked what time they prefer breakfast and then given a time-specific period for them to eat…when crowded word can be passed to the guest to limit their time at breakfast. Perhaps a second coffee/juice/pastry location would eliminate the crowding.
The location, the kindness of staff, the tidy room
The room was super hot, no way to decrease temperature and while opening the window noise from the outside road was unbearable all night long.
Spent there one hot night in July. One of our worst experiences ever in hotels: - Room to the back - directly above ventilating system of the restaurant: Smelly of fast food and extremely noisy whole night. - No air conditioning in the room either - 29C inside the room making sleeping next to impossible - No support from the staff nor any discount to the room rate - No information upfront on web site or else
The location is great. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful.
The room was tiny and looked out on an ugly rooftop. The shower was also tiny. There was no air conditioning.
I like the location and the friendly staff who always greets and provide the solutions
Wonderful hotel! Thank you so much for all your advice and cheerfulness.
wifi, room, service, staff, location
breakfast is basic
Typical of a relatively cheap Scandinavian hotel. Not very expensive, good breakfast and big screen TV
Soulless, no restaurant, no air con. But compared with other hotels this is in. A superb location and cheap for where it is
located on the main downtown parkway - great local dining.
Difficult and long walk to parking. Very hot fifth floor room where the rooms are smaller. We had four people. Hot room required windows open and rave music played until past 03:00. Difficult sleeping conditions.
Polite, friendly staff Clean Good breakfast
No coffee/tea facilities in room Very hot and humid making sleep difficult
Staff friendly and helpful, room large and spacious, location couldn't be better.
wi fi not easy to access.
The staff were efficient and friendly. The location was central to everything
The weather was quite warm and the hotel rooms remained hot over night. The only way to cool was by opening windows onto a very noisy street
The room size, facilities, amenities and the reception
A little noisy with street view rooms
