Oslo Hotel Apartments - Hostel  

Close to Töyen subway station. Cheap.

Location was good.

To be honest, there was a fair amount of mis representation in the photographs on the website. While booking, I was shown a photograph of the room I would be getting. This was not the case at all. The room was so tiny it was literally only a bed that could fit in with no space for even suitcases or backpacks He issue I had was very rude staff and very condescending who pretty much told me I can't afford to stay in Oslo when I asked why they had given me a room that was different to the one advertised. Sorry to say but this hotel ruined our trip and experience of Oslo. Customer service was non existent and they did not seem to care about people making noise (a lot of it) and having parties. They make you pay for linen and towels (more than quoted on website) showing lack of consistency as others in the same room category did not have to pay but we did(?) this is not a place to have a relaxing stay I would never visit again or recommend to anyone. This hotel should be taken off booking.com

Fairly clean,cosy,good facilities in room (E.G. bathroom,kitchen,TV).Silent enough even though the location is by a small boulevard with some traffic in morning and early night hours

Average hotel,very close to town centre.The personnel was quite rude and unpolite.If you don't pay 2.000 nok deposit they don't check you in (nowhere on the web written 2000 nok deposit needed).Bedroom almost in the same space with kitchen and bathroom,you can't sleep well if your roommates want to eat or watch TV.Extending your stay by an hour or more costs 100 NOK/hour

It was not advertised properly... I would not have gone for this one had I know that shared bathroom means we have to share an apartment with complete strangers!!! Should have been advertised like this: Twin room to share in apartment! We did not have any privacy at all!

Very comfortable beds, fully equipped apartments, kitchen for guest use, nice and clean, very helpful staff, easy to contact via email

Additional costs I didn't see coming - towels, bedsheets, wi-fi; 20min walk to the city centre; late check-in - 3 P.M.; obligatory to pay the whole stay upfront

You have to pay additionally for towels and bedclothes. It was not said during booking. The pictures was different than the place where I was sleeping. The pictures were beutiful but room totally different.

the room had a kitchen and two bathrooms. very clean rooms. The bathroom had underfloor heating, which made it very comfortable to take a shower. Two bathrooms.

the room was a little bit small. There are some easy damages in the kitchen and bathroom, which made it hard to use it properly. The shared facilities could be more clean. Check-in is only possible from 3pm, which is quite late.

En......Only thing I'd like is I can get my deposit(2000NOK) back instead of take off by this rediculous so-called hostel!

Staffs in reception never smiled to me like owing money to them! Everything include bed linen and Wiki need extra fee which is not cheap. Room is dirty even some blood on the bed and pilow. This is a absolutly ridiculous so-called hostel. Dont go there only if you wanna experience some terrible things!

Everything. You have to paid everything in the hostel. You just paid the price of a bed. When you arrived, even you have bring your own bed sheet, they still charged you 50 nok. And you have to pay 150 nok everyday to borrow the cooking stuff or even a kettle. Their kitchen is just a decoration, not for you to cook. Also, there is lack of security since the key card can open any doors of the hostel.

They never cleaned the Room.

For the money we paid I guess it was not that bad, and 24-hour reception is a great plus.

The room that was on the picture in our reservation was not at all what we were offered - we had to switch rooms many times to finnaly get the twin room without the double-level beds!!, Although we specified before the depature that we need a double bed or at least twin so we can put the beds together. The night staff was absolutelly unqualified. The interrior is very simple, no pictures on the walls, very small rooms.

The room hasn't heating installation and it is very small.

We had a broken kitchen in the first room and one member the staff said that was normal, but one other transferred us of room. This one was deeply better.

It was a not good stay in this Hostel. All of kind of normal things in a hostel, like WiFi, kitchen, lean clothes, you have to pay more. So your stay should double if you want this normal things. The staff said that was normal this things, you pay more for WiFi and etc.The first room that we were had a broken kitchen, and this was normal too, like the staff said.

Not clean in the room. On the kitchen there are nothing! No spoons, plates. Nothing! Who needs the kitchen without anything? In the room was dirty. On the bed was parts of a bread and smelled very bad!!!!

Good value for money.

Be aware that a room with shared bathroom is NOT what you normally think of as a room with shared bathroom. Here, it means one of the bedrooms in an apartment, and you have to share the apartment with someone.

Clean and comfortable rooms.

Outrageously expensive breakfast and WiFi. Much cheaper alternatives available locally. In general Oslo is a very expensive city!

The city was very nice.

We were not expecting to share the apartment as well as we were not expecting to have an extra expense with the linen. These kind of information should be made very clear, not written in barely seen small grey letters. Although there was a kitchen facility in the apartment there was no equipment at all (forks, knives, pans, pots, plates, nothing...) so what's the point on having a kitchen if you can not use it? Overall, the stay was 'ok' but I wouldn't come back or recommend to anyone.

What I like about it best is that we can have our doucuments printed free of charge. Althought the usage of Wifi is chargeable, there is nevertheless a computer for all the clients in the hall.

The night of 31.Dec. 2012, when we moved in, the receptionist was not speaking with patience. But well enough, the other staffs we have met the following days were kind and helpful. I was living in the top floor, which means attic, the celling was oblique and that makes it easy for head bumps . I strongly suggest that the hotel reduce their price for this kind of room, since it produce many incoveniences. What's more, the refrigerator is so closed to the bed that makes noisy all the nights.
