Management were lovely
Location, rooms and dining excellent.
In the middle of refurbishment in public areas so only gave good. When complete it will be excellent.
Very nice rooms.
Breakfast room was improvised due to renovation and not very nice. A family was for some reason sleeping in the lounge in the pool area after it opened in the morning, and towels/shower soap was not provided. Sauna was cold. This is due to sloppy management not to the renovation. Hotel should have informed about the renovation prior to booking.
Nice quiet and large room, breakfast good, comfortable beds.
my credit card bill showed a double booking- lots of work with calls to norway and so on. Annoying.
Solid breakfast (excepted for the 'large variety' of gluten-free bread which was actually only one wasa bread).
hotel under construction : no lobby, workers in the floors drilling and renovating all the floors around the room. No possibility to rest during the day. Went to the sauna: off. Reception has to be called to lauch it..but no phone. Need 20 min to get warmed and no towel. Want to try the swimming pool : the colour of water didn't seem that clear. Impossible to change the temperature in the room. Also no towel. Really upset to have paid that price for an hotel currently in renovation.
Nicely renovated rooms
The hotel is been renovated lots of working process. Not for that price
The location. The room itself looked brand new. Good illumination in the bathroom. They forgot to remove the nespresso machine from our room so we could enjoy two cups of coffee
The hotels is being renovated so construction works being done while guests are going around in and out, Ladies at the reception looked ridiculous attending a small desk while worker on a ladder was removing/installing ceiling panels over their and the guests heads. Maybe guests should be equipped with helmets and safety shoes while staying at the hotel. We complained about it when checking out explaining that if we had known about this construction, we would have booked somewhere else. The reception lady apolpgozed and and told us that will refund us our prepaid reservation. I left my e-mail.to be contacted and credit card for refund, but did not see anything back from them. I do not understand why managers make such unwise decision such as keeping a first class hotel open for business in middle of a construction work. We are very much disappointed. Another detail - the safe in the room is installed with door opening upwards and it is so small that I couldn't put my 14" laptop inside it. Who needs such a small safe?
This I like at hotel factory many tourist busses a lot a guest to small breakfast . And no AIRCON in the rooms. The business class room only have a 1,5 person bed (140 cm bed ) to small for 2 adoults
Great location. Substantial breakfast with lots of choices even catering for gluten free. There was a brief power outage while we were there which affected all the televisions in the rooms so there were no channels available. They allowed us to watch pay TV free of charge instead.
Lots of renovations happening which we didn't know about. Not being able to alter temperature in room. No light blanket or alternative to the warm duvet on bed.
Very friendly staff and great positioning!
Parking was a little awkward - very small amount of space.
In renovation Price is higher then they say on booking.com
Great breakfast, upgrade to Business room, very friendly helpful staff
Upgrade at hotel to dining area not mentioned on website
The room was recently re-furbished and in excellent taste. Very comfortable. Very good breakfast. Friendly Staff, and secure parking. Old town of Stavanger very accessible.
The hotel was under construction, the guests should have been informed of this when booking. It was a joke and the staff did not even apologise for the inconvenience
There was construction going on to re-build the breakfast area. Would have been nice to know, when we reserved.
Friendly staff, secure parking.
Very comfortable. Good sized rooms. Good breakfast. Good value.
I liked the location because it was near the downtown area and within easy walking distance to the forum, which is where my conference was.
My only negative was the cost of a beer in the bar - ~$30 US. Of course being Norway that wasn't too surprising.
The hotel is a bit of a walk away from the tourist center but in a clean and convenient neighborhood. With a grocery store a few blocks away and a takeaway (pizza and Asian cuisine) right across the street, it suited us perfectly as a one nighter in Stavanger for our visit to Pulpit Rock. Breakfast was very good...lots of variety and tasty. Loved the heated bathroom floors. Convenient parking underground for a fee.
No complaints, but Norway is expensive!
The comfort and generous size of our room. The pool and the kids' menu in the restaurant - the food was excellent. We liked the generous and varied breakfast as well and the staff was helpful.
The opening hours of the restaurant - it opened at 1800 which was a bit late from the perspective of small children.
The room was very modern, the staff where very helpfull.
There were no lights in the swiming pool so it was very dark as the tiles are different shades of green. Beside the edge of the pool nearest the jacuzzi there is a ledge which has a gap in I was walking on this edge to enter the jacuzzi and fell down the gap injuring my foot in the process upon investigation this gap is where the light is but was not on or working not sure which. Also you are not advised to take a tool with you. They should have a spinner so you can dry you swiming costume off and a bag so you can put your damp swim wear in.
very good service at reception and in breakfast. confortable rooms with nice details, good breakfast
the cleaning of the rooms is very superficial, bed is not completely made, looks like done in a rush and wothout caring. Also, looks like a renovation of the facilities is needed.
One of the Duty Manager - Mr Adrian was very helpful and went out of his way to assist me in getting my internet connections. Also he went the extra mile to help me get an adapter for my laptop as the electrical plugs in Europe is different. He made the difference to my stay.
When we checked in he met the most grumpiest receptionist I have met in my various travels. After a long flight to Amsterdam and then a connecting flight to Stavanger, the last thing we needed was an unhelpful receptionist. There was only 1 person available and she was rude and unhelpful.
Very polite/helpful staff, we also received a free room-upgrade. Swimming pool & gymm are nice, excellent breakfast with lots of choice, nice bar, good central location (3 min. walking distance to the harbor). Most important: very clean rooms.
Wifi is a bit slow, and sometimes unstable. But hey, you're not there to be online all the time. Make sure you get a room with a window you can open to the streetside/outside of the hotel. The other rooms are located on the innercircle of the building around the atrium, and are quite dark. Airco is not doing a great job as well, so the rooms are quite warm, and you want to open the window for some fresh air.
