Overlooking Neitijärvi Lake, this guesthouse is 14 from the coastal town of Kirkenes.
Score from 201 reviews Very good
Perfect location - close to airport bus stop and tourist sites. Good restaurant food.
Wi-Fi not strong enough. Check in/out time a bit long.
Free wi-fi, good breakfast, free coffee/tea facilities in hotel lobby for the guests.
Price, but that's Norway. :-(
Location, receptionist was friendly and helpful.
Dining room staff indifferent
Nice, quiet room Pool Breakfast
Nothing, it was very convenient
Food. Great evening meal, as we were late arriving and staff did everything to give us something nice. Excellent reindeer starter, omelette and cloudberry pud. YUM.
Bed room heat control needs attention. Much too hot at night had to leave window WIDE open for air and control rain intake!!!! Kettle in room good, so please top up tea bags milk each day or put note where, how to get more. Thanks for lovely stay
This good quality, modern chain hotel is located in the center of Kirkenes. Friendly, responsive staff. Good breakfast. Very functional. No real complaints.
A different chain has a much more scenic location on the water, a few hundred meters from the center of town - if that matters to you. Meals in the restaurant are expensive - but that's Norway.
Location, great breakfast, nice swimming pool and sauna, helpful staff, and lounge area
I am not sure I will ever get use to the shower system with the glass curtain, I seem to, always get to much water on he floor and everywhere else.
The hotel is situated in the center of Kirkenes, so everything can be reached by feet
WLAN was not free of charge.
has a pool and sauna but open hours till 21-00
never will stay at this hotel again: on the 31st of July have got a room non-cleaned after a previuous guest (they gave me a towel etc and said help yourself). The same was happening with other new guests this date. Didn't arrage any compliments like a free beverage for that fault. Very strange service for a Europe.
Swimming pool, sauna, lounge with free coffee/ tea. Good comfortable central hotel
Reception staff were rather abrupt and unfriendly. In some cases this may have been nerves. Restaurant staff slightly over-friendly by contrast :) Nothing too serious though, it was ok.
The breakfast was amazing (especially loved the waffels, smoothies, croissants, eggs etc). The pool was very good, nice temperature, nice steam room and sauna!!
Our room smelled like old sweat, it was horrible (!!) We had to have the windows open all the time and it still smelled bad. Too bad cause otherwise the hotel was great
Friendly, helpful, courteous staff at front desk. Hearty breakfast. Central location in small town - easy to get around on foot.
I didn't see any limitations
1.The staff are professional, helpful and kind. When I had problem with my visa, a front desk staff help me to copy, to send by email and to send by fax our passport and visa to the embassy of the Republic Indinesia in Oslo at 03.00 in the morning. He also gave me many suggestions what should I do concerning this matter. 2. Breakfast and dinner are very good.
The breakfast buffet was great. Wifi was fast and worked and it was for free. For comparison on Svalbard Wifi can cost up to 75 NOK a day :-(
The bed was too soft.
We liked everything: location, service, breakfast, traditional sauna and the pool and Melissa at the reception - this young lady is very helpful and friendly=))) Mange takk!
Too noisy at the pool (there were 2 families with small children and they made too much noise), steaming sauna was out of order and no one could help.
Good location, friendly staff, good advice on things to do in Kirkenes - even on a very cold Sunday! Excellent food in the restaurant and a very good waiter on the Sunday evening - lovely guy :)
Everything was superb:room(#407), breakfast, sauna and a swimming pool, service. I even practiced my Norwegian: a lady at the reception was very helpful-she answered all my questions, gave good instructions, explained some new words (in Norwegian), told us of the monument to Stoltenberg=)))) I like Rica very much! Hope, being included in Scandic the hotel (staff, service, food) will preserve all positive characteristics it has already had and add some more.
No towels in sauna and we were not told of that beforehand. We had to return to our room and fetch those towels. We used to stay at Rica before and visited sauna several times and there were plenty of towels=)))) But it was not a problem=)))
Bed was wonderful. Plenty of hot water. Loved the kick sleds.
Restaurant poor quality & too expensive. Inability to pull the curtain for privacy because it was hanging over the heater.
Good place to stay, but expensive, good staff, no complaints
Very clean and comfortable. Great buffet breakfast. Polite staff.
Very expensive, but pretty standard for Norway!
We liked everything: the staff was very polite and friendly, breakfast was super, the welness area (the pool and the steaming sauna) - very nice! We arrived at 9.30 a.m. Norwegian time, but we got the keys from our room with no problems, so we could check in in the morning and we could have our breakfast that morning (we payed extra, but we had a nice breakfast).
No tea set and no pens in our room (we stayed at # 508),but it was not a problem=)))) No fresh (juice) at the restaurant (for breakfast).
The breakfast was excellent & the staff friendly & helpful.
Friendly helpful staff. Fantastic breakfast. Comfortable bed.
