Hotel closed at midday on Wednesday prior to Easter. It was snowing sideways outside and we weren't able to leave our bags for an hour until it was time to move on.
Noisy at night Room dated
Hotel with a good athmosphere and an extraordinary good breakfast.
location was perfect and staff very helpful. a good size room.
Small and rather shabby bathroom.
Location is optimal. Very nice breakfast.
Unappealing lobby. Toilets in public areas kept locked and code required.
Excellent location for historic centre. Good breakfast.
the staff the position in town the brekalfast the view from the room to Bergen fiord the connection to the airport
Fast internet (uploaded all my photos incase of damaged computer), lovely bed, bathroom and my lord, the breakfast! :)
Rooms desperately need refurbishing and cleanliness in bedrooms very poor
Staff were very helpful
Seperate mattress and top mattress made the beds slip apart. No minibar in the room A lot of dust on top of cupboard No new rooms facing the market and the pier
Nice and clean except on top of cupboard Nice design on new rooms Helpful staff
Poor wifi connection at my 7th floor room.
The location was great. The room was nice and the breakfast as well.
WiFi connection was breaking all the time in my room
From friday till monday; no cleaning....
The outside of the hotel looks impressive , and also the communal areas ( reception etc ) have been refurbished and maintained . However our room although clean and comfortable was shabby and the furniture and decor 30 years out of date . Our room was in need of complete refurbishing and bringing up to date . Shame about the room otherwise the hotel would of been excellent .
The location of the hotel was good to the proximity of the harbour and main centre of Bergen .
One of heaters was unserviceable. Other was enough for heating room.
Room was good condition. All materials was ready to use and was prepared acording for our special requests. Staffs was really helpfull. Thank you.
problem with the lights power, I couldnt use the hair dryer, the light were turning off
perfect location, downtown, near airport's bus stasion, really clean, night staff really helpful
Room was tatty - fridge door cover missing and stained desk area. I stayed two nights and the room didn't seem to be cleaned after the first night, certainly not properly. Have to go down to reception to buy any drink or snack and no restaurant at hotel.
Wifi worked well. Great location for wandering around city after a days work and looked really Christmassy and busy (though not noisy at hotel)
Slow wifi connection in my room. A bit of noise from the street, as my room was towards the street. But a good view of a central area, sea and the mountain. Ask for a quiet room if that is important to you.
Good service from staff. Central location. Short walk from airport bus, and most attractions, restaurants. Good breakfast. Got a good price form booking.com, so good value for money.
Our colleagues, Federico Evangelisti and Michele Navazio, stayed at your hotel on Oct. 22 Yesterday morning, after having checked out, they asked the concierge where to leave their luggage for a while and a storage room was indicated to them . Some hours later , when they came back to collect the luggage, one personal computer and one hard disk were found missing. According the receptionist, the hotel it is NOT responsible for articles left in the hotel ! This is an unpleasant situation, we did not expect something similar could happen in any hotel of a so well know chain It is our intention to inform the custom service of booking.com and others of this unpleasant situation to prevent other clients could suffer the same inconvenience
décor was outdated slight mildew smell in room
excellent location very helpful staff delicious breakfast
Noisy at night
NO tea and coffee making as advised. Building in need of TLC. Room lock broken so we had ask the duty manager to open room with pass key!
Location. Staff were helpful.
One of the lifts doesn't work so you have to take the lift to the 3rd floor and walk down to the 2nd floor for breakfast.
The hotel is very centrally located and has a great bar Femte i Andre - literally translated Fifth on Second Bar (because it was moved from the 5th floor to the second floor) It has an entrance like a Private Eye office based on Varg Veum - the central character in on the detective book series by Gunnar Staalesen. There's a statue of him at the entrance to the hotel.
