Good,
Score from 175 reviews
“ It was a lovely budget option, very clean, very good facilities (the laundry room with washing machine was fab after I had run a marathon!), lovely views (gorgeous reindeer just outside the window!) and the breakfast was really excellent, definitely comparable to the breakfast buffets in up-market scandinavian hotels! ”

The price was Ok compare to other hotel, we enjoyed Spitsbergen and did not need SPA an other stuff. We ate a lot of good food there. In fact everything was fantastic and maybe we are going back in the summer.

Good communications before the stay, breakfast buffet was ok, description on website is realistic - don't expect anything fancy, it is an old miners' barrack, although an expensive one Rooms/corridors were not so soundproof, lots of noise from people banging the doors that do not work so smoothly in a building that is leaning and tilting to different directions

Large rooms, much more affordable other accommodation in Longyearbyen. The farthest accommodation from town centre, even though it's just a 10 to 15-minute walk.

You pay the price for a 3-4 star hotel, but get the "comfort" of a 1 star hotel, definition of 1 star: "they will mostly only have one private bedroom and may or may not include a bathroom. Aside from the bed, it’ll have very little other accommodations and decor" The price should not be more than 200 NOK per person per night for the accommodation, decor and offering you have today.

Compare with other hotels this one's price is quite in my budget. And equipment and service are exceed my expectation. Take 15 minutes to downtown by walk (actually I enjoyed the view on the way :) )

Arrived late 1am (plane delayed) no problem. Decent clean room. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Stored my luggage while I explored the town. Then got me a taxi in minutes. All at a very reasonably price.

Easy check, friendly staff who were able to suggest something I could do while i waited to join my Arctic ship. Historical aspect of the guest house, it's link with Longyearbyn mining, mining pictures throughout guest house Distance from town centre Steps up into rooms, I would have liked to known about these before i booked so i could have requested a room as close to ground level

The staff were great. All day coffee in dinning room. It was a long walk back from town. If people would pay about 30 to 50 krona each then an hourly hopper bus might make a small profit and be a good addition. A small room next to the kitchen to eat would increase social interaction. These are minor details as everything about your service was very good. Thanks for a great stay

I made a mistake in my booking (wrong arrival/departure date), but they found a room and didn't charge anything for the previous day. Friendly and helpful staff. Despite the fact that I had booked my arrival date for one day prior to my actual arrival, there was no key at the key box for me. I had to call the hotel number (since the reception was closed already) to get a room and sort things out.

Quiet location and facilities for cooking available. Also a nice room in every building with TV and sofas. Location too far away from downtown Longyearbyen (30 minutes walking distance).
