Location. View from rooms was impressive. Large, rennovated, quiet & clean rooms with big windows. The owner of the hotel is a very friendly lady who took care of all our needs.
Personnel is understaffed. It's composed mainly of the lady mentioned above. Breakfast is lacking variety. Price demanded is too high.
Location is right next to ferry dock which can be noisy but you do get great views. Room was large with a separate sitting area and patio area outside, room was clean. Hotel has a buffet on a Sunday between 1-6pm and this was lovely. There is free parking outside but also used by people using ferry so can be busy.
For some reason we got no housekeeping , we just dried our towels and it was a Sunday, so not sure if that is normal as most places closed on Sunday's there!
Very well appointed room with all facilities, away from the town and very quiet even though it is near to a ferry terminal. There was no noise in the room from the ferries so we slept very well.
The restaurant wasn't open but a new chef was just taking over so this will not be a problem in the future.
Spacious room with a terrace and a view, Very friendly staff
The restaurant was closed ( should re-open soon), so we had to drive 20 min to the nearest Italian
The bedroom was bright and roomy with a lot of deck and a good view. The owner was very friendly and informative.
The bathroom was very small. Food is not a priority--the breakfast was just OK. For the price, they could have done better. They are bringing in a Swedish chef to open operate the restaurant so things should improve.
Super place. Inga, the owner, is a perfect host who makes the guests feel more than welcome. The place is small and feels like coming to a home. Beautiful view and big rooms.
Excellent views of the fjord from the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room itself was beautiful and spacious.
The SFhotel reflects all the charm of Norway with a modern touch. The rooms , the paintings and the setting are spectacular and reflect the owners love of their establishment.
The lack of restaurants in the area.
Great location, great hotel, very friendly staff.
Right on fjord side with excellent views from room balcony. Immediately adjacent to car ferry which made for easy location and arrival/departure. Friendly staff.
No food available within hotel
The owner is incredibly nice and helpful. Very pleasant peaceful stay with a wonderful room and beautiful view.
Spacious rooms, wonderful people.
Where it was just out of Alesund.quite and the owner lovely.
Spacious room with balcony and good views.
For cost of room, amenities very poor, breakfast very ordinary in offerings and presentation. Noise factor could be a problem depending on room allocations with vehicles lining up for ferry.
The room was very clean
We stayed in a luxury room expecting a larger room with a very nice bed. Instead we got a very small bed which was of the cheapest quality and very uncomfortable. The room had a large window with curtains only covering half of the window. Due to the very poor bed and light room we only had a few hours of very bad sleep and woke up broken. Looking forward to breakfast after such a bad night, we were very dissapointed to see the very basic breakfast. It was not good. For the price you pay at this hotel we expected a lot more value for our money. We would not recommend anyone staying at this hotel. In fact, we would not call it a hotel, rather a motel. The hotel is also opposite a ferry crossing. Cars are waiting outside of the hotel all night long, making it noisy to stay there.
The owner was very kind and helpfull. Room was very clean and comfortable. Wide screen flat TV and lovely balcony. Breakfast is basic but fresh and plentyfull. Quiet and easy to go to Alesund with car. A well taken care of hotel by owner whos touch is everywhere around you.
A bit pricy for a hotel 18 km away from Alsund
Fantastic big room, newly renovated, with beautiful fjord view. Very nice hostess.
The warm welcome from the Proprietor; a charming lady! The room was very tastefully decorated and furnished. Plenty of room - seating etc - plus a large balcony with seating, and a stunning view. A beautiful hotel, in a beautiful setting! We enjoyed our stay very much.
Everything was fine for us, but I suspect that when the hotel is full, there could be some noise from guests drinking etc on the communal balcony late at night. I must stress, however, that this did not occur when we stayed. Only 2 TV channels available - could do with satellite TV.
Beautiful location and next to ferry ( which didn't disturb us ) Beautiful room with many paintings done by the owner
Food fairly basic but lots of restaurants in Alesund and the owner offered to book a table for us . She recommended XL diner which was quite expensive but excellent food and just above the harbour
Good location if you are driving south. Good large room with balcony.
The hotel is own by an elder couple and they are very friendly.
Location, staff, beautiful ace
Perfect treatment, HOME-Like feeling always when I stay there...Thanks!
Fantastic Hotel - simply fantastic!
