in the very centrer and easy to go everywhere, nice chain hotel

We had a room for four. I hit my head several times on the top of bunk bed above me. That was not good. We did not use the top bed. Therefore there was less opportunity to hit you head.

Good location and good service.

Breakfast room is small and on peak times a bit chaotic.

The location is excellent, even though it's at the city center, it's exactly where it's quiet. Anyway most of the 'worth to see' are in a walking distance.

The room is very small and to ge to the breakfast room you should walk outside 50m. Not bad in spring, but during winter you have to wear your winter shoes only to get to get the breakfast.

All in all a great hotel and good location.

Thon Hotel Astoria was great! I don't know why anyone has anything negative to say about it. It's not a palace, sure, but it is a very nice place, especially for the money you're paying. The staff was extremely friendly (and even let me check in to my room three hours before official check-in time!) and a good source of information about Oslo. Also, breakfast was great. I had forgotten it was included in the price of the room and considering how expensive food is in Norway, that was a huge benefit! Finally, the location can't be beat; extremely close to the train station and also half a block from Karl Johans Gate. I would definitely stay here again.

My room felt a bit drafty. It wasn't that big of a deal, though. Also, a few hooligans started blasting music a few times but that got shut down very quickly (presumably by the excellent staff).

Room facilities are new and clean. Breakfast selections are many, varied and good quality. The hotel is secure.

Loose tea leaves served at breakfast. The small tea leaves got loose from the holder making the cup of tea messy. Better to serve tea bags.

Extremely helpful staff, and am very impressed.

The room was freezing!!!! And very tiny

We were two older friends and We stayed in the hotel at the weekend. Friday night was perfect but on Saturday night we were located next to a group of young people who were obviously visiting the city for a night out on the town. They arrived home at 3.30 and made a lot of noise for about two hours. Our sleep was disturbed and we eventually went to the desk to complain. The night porter spoke to them but as soon as he left the noise continued. We were very upset by the affair and didn't manage to get a night's sleep. As we were only in the city for such a short time we were anxious to see as much as we could. Our plans for the following morning were ruined as we were too tired to do anything. I do think that we should not have been located next to them. They should have been located in a quiet corner of the hotel where they could not have disturbed other guests.
