Thon Hotel Gyldenløve

It was quiet, unfussy and uncomplicated. Breakfast offered a great choice of hot and cold foods.

Although the room was comfortable and the decor fresh and modern, the wooden floor of the bedroom was filthy. It was not made clear, at the time of booking, that all T.V. channels incurred a cost to watch.

the location was great bars, resturants shops and landmarks all within five mins walk or less. the breakfast was also great

My room was nice and clean, and the breakfast was good.

A little pricey. I also didn't like that we had to buy 4 hour scratch cards for the internet - wireless internet should be free.

They upgraded me to what they call a "double" which is a king sized bed. The room was very large even by US standards and the wood floors and heated bathroom floor was very nice and warm. Last, the windows were very good. I was on a busy street above a patio resturant and the niose was very minimal(and I'm a very light sleeper).

The decor was nice, but worn out. My bathroom had windows into the bedroom and they were duct taped in place. First impression was "wow, great room", second was "but it is so run down." The breakfast was a dissapointment. I've stayed in another Thon hotel in the city at the same price point and they had a fabulous breakfast, so I was expecting something much nicer than what they had at this hotel.

Free internet, free good coffee. Good choice of breakfast. Only a short walk (10min) down town. Midst of a diverse shopping area.

Breakfast was good.

Asked for a TW room, got a Dbl. We were 2 persons, but the room was prepared for one ( one pillow, one shampoo ). Nothing separates shower from toilet. All the floor in the bathroom gets wet, when you shower. I would not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel. I am sure one can get a better hotel in Oslo for the same rate.

The Thon Hotel Gyldenlove is just 10 minutes on foot to the centre. The staff were very nice. The breakfast is very good. There is a big choice: ham, cheese, sausages, bacon, eggs, scralmbled eggs, jams, very good bread, fruits, yoghurts etc. The room is comfortable and the bed is very comfortable. The hotel is decorated in a modern way so many things are plain but nice at the same time.

everything was nice. They even have free internet wifi at the reception or a computer with internet connection you can just use. They also have a coffee machine for free and you can also use an umbrella.

Greit personale. To nøkler til rommet, selv om vi ikke ba om det. Kaffe tilgjengelig i resepsjonen.

Brukte hotellet kun til overnatting.

Megt bra service med hyggelig peronale, moderne rom med god standard og lett tilkommelighet,

L'emplacement est idéal pour découvrir Oslo.Il est possible de l'hôtel de tout ou quasiment effectuer à pied.C'est un quartier trés animée avec de nombreuse boutique, resto et bar.De plus grand fan des breakfast à l'anglaise, nous avons adoré le petit déjeuner trés varié et abondant. Ps: si vous etes fan des resto indien ,je vous recommande tout particuliérement le resto Curry and Ketchup au 51 Kirkeveien (10 mn de l'hôtel à pied, déco et plat extra)

Läget var OK. Frukosten var helt i orden. Det fanns gott om paraplyer til utlåning (det behøvdes!)

Att man ikke kan tænda lyset i baderummet uten at tænde i resten av rummet - eller kan man? Vi lykkedes ikke! Man borde også ha noe som forhindede at baderummet blev fullt av vann etter man duschet, f eks en glassdør før duschen. Hvorfor man har placeret håndfatet i rummet og ikke i baderummet er for oss en gåte. Dessuten var det ikke rent i hjørnene, især runt håndfatet.
