Overlooking Neitijärvi Lake, this guesthouse is 14 from the coastal town of Kirkenes.
Score from 219 reviews Very good
Excellent place to stay overnight before catching the Hurtigruten coastal ferry. The restaurant was good but best of all we saw the northern lights.
Queue to check in when we all arrived on the airport bus.
Good place to stay at the end of a Hurtigruten cruise. Restaurant was very good and the breakfast excellent with a wide choice.
Carpet in the room would make it seem warmer in the northern climate.
Very nice restaurant. Convenient to downtown, a couple of blocks away. On the water, so nice view. Close to Hurtigruten docks.
excellent breakfast buffet, nice view
Breakfasr was great, service was good, room was comfortable, the bed was restful and the silence of the north was amazing.
The quilt was too hot. Need option of lighter bedding?
The location is excellent - on the water, with great views. Kirkenes is a small town, so everything's pretty convenient. We stayed there for one night at the end of a Hurtigruten cruise, not wishing to rush back home straightaway. The hotel is modern, clean and comfortable, the breakfast is good, and the staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. There are shuttle buses to/from the Hurtigruten terminal and the airport.
There was nothing we didn't like.
roomy double. very clean, with comfortable beds and furniture, bathroom. Very generous buffet breakfast. Very nice dining room with very good service and food.
Modern and warm in a bleak late autumn, and with Northern Light show!
Good hotel, well situated in the small town. Decent breakfast. Tourist information office in the lobby.
Closer to the waterfront is hard to get. A good breakfast indeed. We liked the interior of the building very much.
hotel correct and confortable close to the city and bus for the hurtigruten service and also for airport.
Excellent breakfast with very helpful staff
Tea and coffee making facilities in the room would be good
* a particularly good breakfast, & available for a good time period each morning too; try the omelette, crepes & waffles made for you on-the-spot * delightful view from their restaurant, & from the rooms that overlook the harbour * a good gym 3 minutes stroll away - & it does some Les Mills programs too * only a few minutes stroll from the centre of Kirkness & the alternative eating options.
Storage shelves, & hanging space, for clothes could be better.
We were very impressed with the hotel and the staff (especially those in the restaurant) were excellent. Ideal stopover when using Hurtigruten. Overall a very good hotel.
Ventilation in room was noisy and at times cold. Individual temperature control would be good.
Great location and super breakfasts.
Room overlooking water, comfortable bed, stunning views from breakfast room
No tea coffee making in room, this is common in European hotels
Great variety at breakfast buffet in a beautiful location!
Modern, if spartan decor in a bleak town (the weather was bad). Tea and coffee facilities downstairs had espresso (well, Nespresso but ok) coffee.
Exorbitant prices for food even compared with other places in Norway. Don't pay $50 for Ritz pizza in town either - quality of $5 frozen pizza. This reacts location and captive market.
Really excellent fjord-side location with excellent relaxing views from restaurant areas. "King Crab" speciality meal was superb! Easy walking distance to town centre, and airport bus collects from hotel.
Very long and time-lengthy queue to book in as many Hurtigruten ferry passengers arrived simultaneously and there was only one person on reception. Restaurant staff also a little slow.
We stayed in this hotel for one night following our one week cruise with Hurtigruten. It is a newly constructed hotel. Everything is in excellent condition, staff is helpful and friendly. Rooms are big. Breakfast was very good, as well. As we didn't find the town very interesting, (probably it is different in winter) the hotel can be considered as an oasis.
Clean, nice design, good food, easy access to ferry, room with bay view
Bath products basic
Great location - right on the sea front. Some very nice and friendly waiters.
Typical impersonal Thon hotel. The restaurant staff were super-friendly after a while but initially rather superior and unhelpful.
Dinner of Cod was excellent and the staff could not have been more helpful to our question and needs. Keep the great staff and facility
Beds were not firm which we like.
The hotel is partly on poles in the sea, with a magnificent view of the fjord. Superb breakfast
The price level in the restaurant.
The breakfast - everything you could wish for Nice views of the water Nice rooms
