Thon Hotel Munch  

Simple hotel, no frills, good location, good breakfast.

The hotel was a bit tricky to find, but I landed at 9pm and walked from the train station - so probably not the best conditions for finding a hotel. The location was ok as it was easy to get into town, but I didn't feel 100% comfortable walking there as a lone female as I didn't think it was that late at night and the surrounding area was pretty isolated.

Very helpful staff and extremely good value breakfast

The shower door was off its hinges and the window was opened without my knowledge, so it was a bit cold one night. I thought I was only going to be asked to answer three questions. I've already done at least a dozen. Perhaps you can re-cast the way you request this feedback?

On booking, the location seemed ideal, in reality it was a bit difficult to find. The Wi-Fi access.

For price - even in Oslo - poor guest facilities. Sugar & powdered milk for hot drink left open in lobby with shared spoon made me question overall hygiene. Dated decor, and tiny bathroom, no tea/coffee in room. Entrance was very low-key alley like. Poor guest eating facilities considering few local eateries - arrived mid evening (7pm) with child and could not get anything for him to eat.

The staff, particularly the older gentleman, was very helpful and friendly. The Hotel is budget, but all was quite comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful, with a good variety of items.

As is normal in Norway, the hotel bathroom has no barrier for the shower, so water can spill out more than necessary. There is no shampoo provided.

Location was good.

Personnel was not so friendly compared to other hotels we visited in Norway and Sweden. Rooms were rather small.

A well placed hotel within a few minutes walk of the centre of Oslo; comfortable room, good breakfast. The staff dealt well with the aftermath of the Oslo bomb, which was only 300 metres away.

The young lady who dealt with us when we arrived was rather vague and did not explain adequately that she was only pre authorising my credit card. All she said was that I would get a receipt but not until we left.

Hotel was straightforward and what they said you would get, you got. It is not a luxury hotel, but it is not budget either. Just right, for me. Breakfast was excellent.

Slightly difficult to find as it is very near another Thon hotel. It could provide a clearer location map.

Frukostbuffén var helt underbar! Det var det bästa med hela vistelsen. Plus för kylskåp på rummet och modern dusch.

Minus för inga handdukskrokar i badrummet.
