Location, location, location. As Ulvik situated towards the end of fjord hardly any through traffic, lovely and peaceful, beautiful area. Hotel reflects the area. Breakfast was great. Ideal place to stay for visiting Osa or aiming to travel onto Eidfjord by ferry.

There is a warm welcome and the owner suggested places to visit and a place to eat in the evening. We followed these suggestions and had a very pleasant stay. The room was warm and cosy and the communal rooms were comfortable. The place has a real rural Norwegian feel. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice for all tastes and good home cooking. The bathroom was a bit small, but it was sufficient for our needs. It was a pity that the restaurant wasn't open in the evening as we would have liked to sample more of le patron's cooking!

A good hotel in a splendid location, with marvellous views of the fjord. Its owner is an english man very funny who carries a restaurant in the promenate of the town too where we ate a very good dinner. Another thing to highlight is the breakfast, it was varied, well presented, in a nice dining room and with good products. There we ate the best fried eggs with bacon of all our stay in Norway! The floor was some dirty with dust and the bed had a little old box spring.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ulvik Fjord Hotel, it is in a beautiful location with extremely friendly owners who are very flexible and accommodating. The rooms are of a really good standard with plenty of space, clean and comfortable, the only thing missing was tea and coffee making facilities but the owners were happy to supply us with this upon request. The owner is also a chef and makes fantastic evening meals and breakfasts. We would highly recommend this place, it was probably our favourite place in Norway. There was nothing that we didn't like at the Ulvik Fjord Hotel but if we had to make any suggestions it would be that tea and coffee making facilities are supplied in the rooms or perhaps even something in the communal area. Also we were a little unsure of the protocol for the evening meal so it would be useful to display the choice of meals during the day and perhaps asks guests to inform the chef by a certain time if they plan to eat at the hotel that night.

Hyggelig vertskap, stort fint rom, god service, gode senger. Rommene var kalde da vi kom, og dusjen liten og enkel, men utsikten var fin og rommene koselig med et gammeldags og enkelt preg.

Ulvik er en flott bygd med mange fritidsmuligheter på fjord, lavland og fjell med flotte anleggveier opp til 11-1300 moh. Et av Norges fineste fruktdistrikter. Det var ikke mulig få aftensmat ved ankomst kl 19.00, dette var ikke opplyst I på innbookings-side. Aftenmåltid på Brakanes Hotell kostet nesten det samme som overnatting !!!
