Vossestrand Hotel and Apartments

Location was excellent, kitchen facilities were very good. Very picturesque.

we had 3 rooms, each supposedly for 4 people. One room was just the bed and sofa bed, you couldn't even walk passed to get to the window. the otehr two were still very small, however more manageable

Location. Considering the price and its presence in "Norway", the hotel is ok for a leisure stay.

Low quality of utensils in the kitchen, hot water not consistent between every bath, there should be a 15-30 minutes gap to allow the hot water to fill in the tank dedicated for each room (this is told by the hotel owner at reception), poor internet connection in all floors above ground floor. cots are too narrow and it is not comfortable as we got the feeling of sleeping in a dormitory.

We got a spacious apartment with a kitchen for a good price. It's a good location with a nice view out the window, and not too far from Gudvangen.

It was rather hot in the room, which was strange because it was cool outside and the heater wasn't even plugged in. The bed was less comfortable than other places on our stay, but not too bad. Sheets and towels are extra, and also if you don't clean the room yourself, you have to pay extra. Actually, having them clean the room would practically double the price, which wasn't mentioned up front, so it was good that I asked. We didn't mind cleaning the room, but it does give a slightly freaky feeling that you know the room was most likely only cleaned by amateur vacationers before you, not professionals.

The room was stuffy, hot water was heated for a long time. Room for 5 people is too small.

The price was the best in the area. And the value was great! The staff was very helpful in giving suggestions of what to do in the area and how to get there. We had planned to stay one night and ended up staying FOUR nights and just driving to where we wanted to go. The kitchen was fully equipped and we saved money on our meals by staying there. I will certainly recommend it to anyone.

Cleanliness, quiet

Beautiful nature all around, close to fjords. The apartment has a smart layout. Kitchen is nice and well equiped.

Very friendly hotel reception, nice facility and really comfortable room!

Appartments are nice, clean and comfortable. The views of mountains and waterfalls are impressive! A man at the reception was polite and kindly let us use the hotel computer and printer when we needed and even suggested to use his own mobile phone.

Aroud the hotel it smelled not very pleasant because of manure, although it can't be called a problem. The receptionist answered all our questions about ferries but was not sure and had not exact information. At the weekend it can be not easy to find a parking place.

Private balcony and the kitchen was superb for an appartment. Fully equipped kitchen. Perpect location and facility for family stay.

It's very nice of everything except the narrow space for the upper layer. Anyway, for sleeping it's Okay.

We loved and enjoyed our stay at Vossestrand Hotel. Everything was better then we expected. Big apartment, fully equipment kitchen, nice living and sleeping room. A hotel with character, clean and new renovated. It was obvious that a lot of time, money and effort was invested in the apartments to make them relaxing and comfortable for the quests. The staff was very helpful and professional.

It is very perpect location and facility for family stay. Close to Sogne Pyord within an hour.

Nice apartment, pleasant public spaces and lounges in which to sit. Beautiful scenery and friendly staff.

Our group enjoyed the stay - hotel has wonderful view of mountain hyttes from the window. The room was fully equiped and spacious. It is a family hotel with large 1st floor where you can relax near the fireplace and have a drink.

We missed the information that the rooms have to be cleaned by the guests or you have to pay 300 NOK for this service. Also you have to bring your own bed linen.

I like the kitchen option. Kitchen was fully equipped with useful utensils.

Either you have to clean the apartment or pay a cleaning fee which is too high! Also you have to bring your own towel and bed sheet.

A lovely place to stop, top service and beautiful apartments

Don't forget to bring towels, sheets and a little time to self clean before you leave. Although for the price, we didn't mind.

Det står på opplyst på nettsider at det er internett på alle rom noe som ikke var riktig, da en måtte ned i fellesarealet. Hotellet er preget av familiearbeid noe som ikke var helt profesjonellt, det meste ble sånn halveis og ikke helt slik de informerte om når du ankom hotellet.

leiligheten var fin, koselig fellesrom. Svært god service! Gratis buss opp til skianlegget. Godt renhold.

lekerommet var bare fullt av maskiner og spill som vi måtte putte 10 kr på for å spille noen få minutter. Synes leiligheten var litt liten i forhold til pris.
