it is good position to watch sunrise and sunset, and snow mountains as well. sitting in the garden and having breakfast is a relaxing thing
rooms are really simple, needed to be improved
Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable beds and hot showers. Great views from the Hindu Temple just a few short steps from the hotel restaurant. The Nepalese food was great for dinner. We also liked the fact that they work with the local community on outreach projects.
Very clean and nice. Wonderful view from bed. Lovely garden.
Nothing to complain.
Hotel at the End of the Universe was in a great location - for both visiting the village of Nagarkot and watching the sunrise over the Himalayas. It was clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was good and a portion of the proceeds went to a charity supporting local children.
That was about it.
Where to begin .... The staff seem really disinterested, have trouble understanding their heavy accent, can't tell who's in charge. They don't wear uniforms, wander around the property, seem like villagers from outside the gate, not hotel staff at all !! THE FOOD IS HORRIBLE !! Quality and food handling, dubious, at best. Had the worst chicken (was that even chicken ????) sandwich EVER !!! The server, who I later saw working the yard, looked clueless when taking my order. I know they were making an effort, but they charge USD$$ to international tourists, gotta do better. They need to put out an overall better product, I got better overall everything in service and food quality in other places in SE Asia, for the same or less money !!
I stayed at End of the Universe with my boyfriend last week. Our room was a beautiful little mud brick cottage and it was really sweet and romantic. The cottage was clean and well equipped with lovely views. The property had great gardens and each cottage was in a separate level in the garden, allowing plenty of privacy. Waking up in the clouds was wonderful and we had a great breakfast with good coffee.
Perhaps a mosquito net in the room would be good.
Good restaurant, good views good staff. Would go back again.
The staffs is very friendly & helpful. The place is quite & comfortable. Have various option of room & cottages. The location is also in the middle of Nagarkot village.
It has many stairs so prepare yourself. This place already exist for about 30 years, so may need some renovation to make it more comfortable.
The location, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful views, it had an old-world feeling about it. Nice food, cosy atmosphere. Large room, with great views from the windows.
Sparse electricity (not a hotel fault), basic bathroom.
Service was very kind! Helped us out in a very tricky situation! Location is nice! Food was good and rooms very cosy! All around a very good place to stay and to enjoy the nature! Staff has good knowledge about surroundings!
Wheather was not so good ;) hotel was awesome nothing to complain!
the food is tasty, the waiter is excellent
I got a room in the main building with nice view of Himalayas, but the room was so dirty. I told one staff that there were many (dying flies) and he (pretended?) looked surprised. I'm not exagerrating, I collected at least 30 flies, they were easily to be picked up (another strange thing) before I asked for moving to other rooms on the next day (silly me not to ask to move rightaway). Maybe the reason was because I saw garbage right outside the window, Such a pity because they have quite nice cottages but with poor maintenance. The cleanest room I saw was the one right across the boss's room. Another thing,I and another guest booked the night before a car to see sunrise at Peak Tower, in the morning, no one showed up but us. Luckily there's one car wanted to go out of the hotel and the driver pressed the horn many times to wake up the guard, he came after a while, we asked about our booked car, he went and came back only to tell us, 500 rupees for each. We said yes even we felt strange since we've been told that the price would be 600, anyway, when checked out, we've still vern charged 600 rupees. It's not about the money but there are a lot of rooms for improvement.
The rooms are nice and cosy, decorated with taste and with big windows. The common room was also comfy.
We came mainly for the view of the mountain but it was blocked by two hotel towers which was very disappointing. We arrived in the rain and asked the staff for help to get our shoes dry, but they just did not care and found lame excuse to do nothing. They were barely polite and even laught at us in the morning when we had to check out with our wet clothes and shoes. The additional 13% taxes and 10% services on food was the worst of it: we never had it before in over two weeks in Nepal!
Great view. Mountain Lodge atmosphere. Friendly staff
Lack of hot water.
The location is incredible, waking up in the morning to a view of the Himalayas is spectacular. The staff were always happy to help and made me a pack lunch for my 'high'king trips. Lovely
A paradise that is rich with fond memories. An exceptional hotel experience that is unique in the area. Cozy and intimate rooms and cottages offer a variety of simple functional accommodations with incredible views. The truly exceptional staff that is endlessly helpful and caring. The food is simple but great! I quickly fell in love with these people and the amazing place they have created. I want to go back! This is a special place.
Having to leave and go home.
friendly and helpful staff - good food - nice view if the weather is okay
Overpriced, food mediocre, run down rooms. Deluxe rooms are just bigger not any better!
There was no room Service
The staff is friendly..
The hot water is so poor. Very hard to take bath when the weather is very cool. Facilities is also so limited and the electric is so low.
The tranquality & peaceful atmosphere of the reception and restaurant at night is really touching and unforgetable in my travelling life. Thumbs up for all the managenent and staff for their friendiness and hospitality!
Service. Hospitality. Foods. Environment & location. The restaurant.
No heater in the winter.
Nice staff and nice hotel. Very good location in Nagarkot.
High price for the service and quality of rooms.
It was my Second Stay at "Hotel at the End Of Universe", Nagarkot. and i didn't like the facility provided with that value of money. And Staff were also deviated to Foreigners from abroad rather than the Internal Tourist like us. I didnt like the services this time as compared to First stay. I guess the Quality has degraded while the cost have increased.
Very nice mountain view, and beautiful nature. Boys in the restaurant were really polite.
It's freezing in the rooms. No hot water. Need for better illumination, no regular light bulbs. Don't go without battery or any other sourse of the light, because you can have serious problems on the stairs during power cuts. In the restaurant they will add you 23% tax (food not worth it).
