The staff were excellent and did everything possible to make you feel welcome. The owners Tika and Geeta were also very welcoming indeed.
The prices for trips were very high but then we did want jeeps, canoes etc. for just the two of us which does push the price up a bit.
Staff was very helpful and i really didn't need to think about anything.
The hotel is quite old, they were making some refurbishing and it looked like as i was staying at a construction site.
Comfortable and clean lodge. Good location near the entrance to Chitwan NP. If you are bird watcher this is a great place to stay as Tika Gira, the founder of the lodge is a very knowledgeable birder and excellent guide.
Price was very reasonable Food tasted pretty good
Tours and activities are seriously overpriced The food was good but we had to wait two hours for our dinner They gave us a serious cold shoulder when we booked our activities elsewhere There was a rat in the room
The staff were really helpful and attentive. They give really good advice on activities which help you to get the most of your stay in Chitwan. They also only recommended the more 'responsible' activities e.g the government elephant ride, a private bath with an elephant rather than a group one. These were more expensive but definitely worth it. The food was amazing! Some of the best we've had in Nepal. I would recommend in particular the biriyani, pakodas, thukpa and sedeaka.
Beautiful surroundings full of nature, many birds. Good food, great kitchen staff. Enjoyed tremendously the jungle walk and elephant ride. Saw many wild animals in the park. One of the few places still pretty much untouched by commerialism. Beautiful and magical memories created in Chitwan!
Location and staff were really good. Even saw a rhino just across the road. Food was fresh and made to order, and delicious.
bed and pillow too hard for us, but we were in budget room.
Ok place, ok food
Prices of tours, you can find cheaper outside or negotiate, waiter at restaurant would bring you watever he wanted and not what you ordered. Don't buy the "tourist bus" to bahirawa ( indian border) with these guys, they charge 10 times the value and make you go in something crowded that's anything but a tourist bus. They also add 10% and 13% service charge and taxes which they don't tell you beforehand.
There was a welcome drink and cool towels to fresh you up after the long journey. The staff was so nice and bring us to see rhino in the morning when they found out we didn't saw rhino during our trip. The breakfast is good and fast to serve you.
The floor got plenty of sand as well as their bathroom. Almost blackout once every night but it should not put a blame to them. The connection of Wifi is slightly poor, always get interrupted all the time.
Very good location, value for money. Peaceful, found what we came for and hot water at all times.
Staff was little slow to react, which was common across Nepal. NO complain.
The Guest House is close to the National Park. Nice terraces in front of the bungalow.
We chose the guest house for its good revies especially regarding cleanliness and we're vastly disappointed. The first bungalow offered was covered in must/mould. The second had "only" must in the bathroom. It smelled therefore a little and on top it was not neatly clean either. The bed sheets were not properly clean either so we decided to stay in our sleeping bags. The Service personal in the restaurant was very slow and not able the remember the order. We were asked each time at least 5 times in a row from the same guy what we have ordered. Why does he not take notes? Hot water was not really available and energy went off very often. Sometimes the very noisy generator helped - often not. We did not enjoy our stay too much and did therefore hardly spent time at the guest house except for sleeping.
We liked the cottages. They connected us with Bishnu who was a very experienced guide who specializes in birds. Spent one day on a jeep safari and one day day on a jungle walk.
The early breakfasts were a bit chaotic.
I enjoied my staying there. We were very well received. The personal were great, extremely kind and attentive. The room was basic but good.
The food from the restaurant wasn't so good.
Chitwan Gaida Lodge We had a wonderful five nights at the Chitwan Gaida Lodge. The bungalow we stayed in was lovely and the staff at the resort are so kind and welcoming! The food is excellent and very good value. I would highly recommend staying there if you visit Chitwan national park, it is a five minute walk from the entrance and also to a range of shops and restaurants.
Very helpful staff . Really enjoyed our evening in the garden .
We stayed for 2 nights at a bungalow. Location and continental food is avarage, 20 min walk from main street Sauraha but very close to National Park entrance. Staff is friendly, help you with bus tickets and all activities in the park can be booked through the lodge. Bungalow is very simple but clean and surrounded by butterflies and bird singing. Be prepared for mosquitoes, use repellent and the nets available in the bed! We had a pleasant jeep safari, saw beautiful birds, a bear and a rhino. I definitely recommend it for the price, it's a very relaxing place and the courtyard is very beautiful. Staff called us to see a rhino at the street in front of the lodge, it was a thrilling experience!!!
Slow wireless in bungalows, activities booked through lodge are a bit expensive. Definitely don't go for elephant bath or elephant nursery if you like wild animals and don't like tourist circus.
Stadt superfriendly, the garden is a dream, the food is fresh and delicious, the rooms are clean and quiet
This place was wonderful, location was amazing and The staff was as nice as possible. I highly recommend it!
Loooooong time waiting for food in the restaurant but it gave us some funny moments..
We enjoyed a lot our days in Gaida Lodge. The personnel was willing to help all the time and were very receptive to comments and advices even if they may be tough about service. They called us every time the rhino was close to the hotel so we can see it. The most important for us is that the owner is a nature lover who does his job for conviction, you can see he enjoys his work.
The restaurant service could improve, it took really long to prepare the food.
Friendly, helpful staff Excellent activities Great food Exceptional value
The fact that the staff did everything they possibly could to make us as comfortable as possible during our stay. They were very helpful and catered to our every need.
Not very good wifi connection
One of the best lodge to be in, very friendly, clean, polite, respectful etc. if you're lucky you can see Rhino in front of the guest house. Lovely, very very nice. :)
Nothing at all.
Stayinh there is very convenient and comfortable. Food is also good anf staffs are friendly. The only thing is the tour package they offer.... at least 3-5 times more expensive than the price of other travel agencies. And Gaida lodge said that's the best rate no discount...
Better not to take the tour package there before asking for some other offices or hotels around. There are plenty just 1-5 mins walk next to the Gaida Lodge.
They have a very good yard, and outside the room is a lovely corridor you can sit there enjoy the view. and is not far from the river, you can walk to watch the sunset. wifi speed is good.
The price for jungle safari is very expensive.
Open nature surrounds you, for a relaxed peaceful day. Food is good.
The Jungle safari is hoax. In fact you are taken to the buffer zone of chitwan national park with remote chances of encountering a rhino or tiger.
