The area wasn't great, a bit far from the tourist centre, but at least it was also away from the terrible pollution. The room was very small and the bathroom tiny. A restaurant, or even just a kettle or somewhere to buy drinks and snacks would have been a great addition. There was no backup generator to deal with the daily power outages. Kathmandu itself is awful, I could not breathe the whole time, but obviously the hotel can do nothing about that!
Staff were very pleasant. WiFi was good. For the price, the accommodation was fair enough. It was very basic, but the price was very low. It was a bit away from the tourist bits, but at least the air was breathable there, which is more than can be said for the rest of kathmandu! There was a great little restaurant just up the road and some bars takeaways etc, nearby. We went as a family with a young child and the hotel wasn't great for that, but that was our own fault. For couples or lone adults it would be fine. We checked out in the late afternoon a day earlier than bookedbut were happy to pay for that night, but they only charged us for half a day which was very nice of them. We would probably consider staying again if we didn't have a child with us.
