Staffs are friendly. Room is clean and comfortable. Room rate is good as this includes breakfast! A place to stay if you are looking for budget guest house. Booked for 2 days extended 16 days!!
Price was oké. Loved the garden and the staff was wonderful!! Very helpfull and attentive!!
Room was not very clean, there wasn't always warm water and the bathroom was really old.
Breakfast is included and very tasty! The stuff is very family friendly and is doing a great job! I felt like in a second home there!
We stayed in Nepal for 3 months and we stayed for several times in Kathmandu. Everytime we stayed in Kathmandu we slept in Grand Millennium. The staff here is really great and they are very helpfull and nice! One time our laptop was broken and they arranged it to make it (for a very reasonable price!). The rooms are very nice and the showers piping hot! We stayed in different rooms on different floors and everytime the wifi was excellent. The breakfast is really great and a great way to start your day! Eating your breakfast in the garden is wonderfull. The garden here is a green oase in the polluted Kathmandu. They also have a restaurant here and there curry is the best! We can recommand Grand Millennium to everyone; couples, elderly people, people with childen,...
Staff were very pleasant & super helpful.
I arrived at 11.30pm to find my name was on the list but no room was available for me. I was taken to alternative accom close by but had to move next morn back to G. M. where I had roof top accom with great view but room looked nothing like photo - was more like tea house & bed VERY hard.
Great value, really friendly staff, and a well sized apartment. Great breakfast. Would recommend to friends.
Slightly musty smell and pretty hard beds, but seemed to be pretty standard for Kathmandu.
Very nice garden where you can have your breakfast or relax. WiFi was mostly available all over hotel. Though there was a little problem in the garden.
Cannot pay with credit cards like e.g. VISA, though it says on booking.com site. One urgent reservation made by phone (not booking.com) was lost and no room was available when I arrived, so I had to find another hotel. There was no light in the bathroom (here I mean when there was light available in the hotel) - probably broken bulb.
Nice hotel, good location, great staff and cozy garden. Rooms are oke. Good vallue for money!
Cleaning bathrooms can better. When the Restaurant is more hygienic then it's perfect.
The most i like is the manager mr raj who is very kind and gentelmen and always keep customer happy and keep them happy,
I dont like is the electric power in town for 12 hrs as well as in hotel but hotel has solar system so tv.fan and light is on for 24 hrs
Breakfast was very tasty, and the garden where it is served very nice.
It is impossible to sleep, beds are extremely hard. It is like sleeping on a rock. We were changed of room and it was the same, so we decided to leave this place even when we had paid more nights. One night I woke up about 20 times! The first room we had was very poor iluminated, we could not see anything by night. Television didn't work in any of the two rooms. And there was any safe box in them, as it was in the descrption. The guest house does not always offer free airport pick up as it said: we were asked to pay 7 usd (we accepted, since we arrived by night) and later they tried to charge us the 7 usd as 1000 rupees (more than 10 usd). We booked go-and-return tickets to Pokhara with the owner: we paid 10 usd (940 rupees) for each traject and later we knew all agencies sell them by 600 or 700 rupees. Besides, the owner didn't report our return tickets to the bus company, and when we tried to return from Pokhara, we were not on the list and the bus was full, so we had no seats. We finally came in another bus, very uncomfortable, and paying more than the others. We were told that laundry price was 50 rupees per kg, and the following day when we received the clothes, they said it was 100 rupees per kg, and there was a kind of invoice from the laundry where someone had clearly changed the numbers.
Good location and very friendly people. They really helped us a lot with trip planning and pointed us to many fun places around the tourism area.
Many of the lights and switches are not working. No one notified us about the power shortage schedule.
staffs and boss are all nice and willing to provide help. 24 hrs hot water. quiet room facing the garden. basic equipment but enough. 15 mints walking to Dubar square.
power cut every night in the block, only lighting, nonchargeable socket. Wifi works badly as general situation in Nepal
Friendly staff, great breakfast, quietv lo0cartion so goo0d sleep, but just 5mins walk from Thamel centre
Bed's bloody hard!
Friendly and helpful staff, really nice garden to chill. The guesthouse is a few blocks away from the very touristy area, with better local food options and less people trying to sell stuff.
Because of the powercuts it can be somewhat dark to go back at night.
Great great breakfast.
Beautiful garden, the perfect place to relax after a day in Kathmandu or after a trekking tour!!! It's like a little garden of dreams! Well done. Friendly stuff at every time, good breakfast and milk tea. Keep in mind you get what pay, for this price the lodge can be fully recomanded.
The rock hard beds, we could hear everyting that happened in all the adjacent rooms
- very friendly staff - very quiet area, close to some of thamel's best restaurants/coffee shops - free breakfast - nice and quiet terrace - nice rooms - good price
- you can easily hear everything from your neighbours if you have some
- Great internet - Great breakfast - The best staff in Kathmandu - Unbeatable location in Thamel
The staff was wonderful and helpful. I should have listened to them earlier. The view from the rooftop was amazing. It was very cheap.
Lack of hot water, but it was still OK in Nepal.
Good location on the edge of Thamel. Helpful staff and hot showers
Rooms are pretty basic. Those on the top and with sunny balconies are better. We stayed in Feb and one lower floor room very cold and damp.
Warm water, balcony at each room, breakfast
Behind thamel, electrivity was most of the time may be is khatmandu's problem generally
I really enjoyed my staying there. The staff is extremly friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and comfortable, and you can watch all the Valley from the rooftop. And I enjoyed having my breakfast in the green garden, sitting under pomelo trees. There are lots of small cafes and shops close to the guesthouse, you're right inside Thamel, but at nights it's quiet, thanks to God :) If i come back to KTM I'll stay here again for sure.
Nothing. It was great.
The reaction from booking.com about our complaint
We had booked the standard double room but did not receive the room we had booked. The room they gave us was at least only half of the size, no sitting area, no working TV (cable was missing), no safe, no water kettle, the bathroom was extremely dirty (not cleaned for a good while, there were even footprints on the wall, the toilet didn't flush and loads of tiny bugs) so you did not feel comfortable at all and did not want to touch anything. At night it was very cold. We had booked for two nights but checked out after one and explained them the reason. The boss agreed and charged us just for this one night, but he still gave us a very bad exchange rate so make sure you make your booking in the local currency. A few hours later we received a "No Show" Email from booking.com and the hotel was trying to charge us another night. We felt completely ripped off.
