It was a very clean hotel at a very good location

Our rooms were not ready upon aor arival. Infact they did not even have our booking in their system.

Excellent location, they fetch you up at the airport. They can arrange your seeing tour in case you haven't prepare a plan. They offer a room upgrade option, is good to take it in if you are not limited with the buget (rooms are better, clean and modern).

The city power cuts.

All requests met immediately by friendly staff. Great range of services, great comfort in an otherwise huge tourist trap which is Thamel.

Food was great, located in a really cool little area.

Electricity was intermittent.

The slow and ineffective internet connection...it was frustrating to say the least.

Shabby and dark room with plaster missing off the walls. Toilet/ shower unit and room in need of serious modernisation. Bad value for money and seems to be trading on a previous reputation. If you like flies buzzing around the food at the breakfast buffet this may be for you.

The location was very good, the room was excellent for the price.

There was a lot off noise at night from a club next door, loud music was played up to midnight.

1.My reservation by Booking/com was not accepted by the hotel(only after I mentioned Law suit ,sudenly there was a room 2.The room is in very poor condition-old,not well maintained,lack of lamps etc. 3.It outrages to charge extra for coffee at berakfast when you pay 250$ for a room including breakfast

The breakfast...had to resort to buying decent bread at the nearby bakery The paying wifi facilities, particularly as the ticket was always exhaused even though you are locked off. a most frustating experience.

A wonderful place to be in Kathmandu! Great location, friendly staff, relaxing athmosphere, deluxe rooms are fantastic! There´s nothing else like this in Thamel!

Kathmandu Guest House has a very good location, central area, only less than 10 minutes walking to Green Line station, but quiet. Hotel has free airport shuttle. Very convenient. Hotel's garden impressed me a lot, not only the breakfast garden but also the lunch or afternoon tea garden. Room is big enough, with air-conditioning, with TV. Food in the garden is very good. Hotel staffs are very friendly. I have hotel to help to rent a car to Nagarkot and purchase the round trip ticket to Pokhara. The cost is reasonable and the service is quite good.

Inside of the room is so so, bedding is old and cold. Wash room is not good, need to improve.

The Service was excellent - felt that each member of the staff from the GM onwards was giving you personalized attention and the food served by the outdoor terrace restaurant is excellent. The buffet breakfast in the sunshine is really a treat and the fact that one can get world class coffee and tea is a bonus.

The outdoor cafe is very romantic when the weather is fine, but a bit chilly even with the heaters when the weather is bad.

The unreliability of the electrical supply (a factor in the whole of Kathmandu), the fact that all eating is outside - and it can get quite cold.

We were worried about some of the reviews we read & reports from other friends but paid the little bit extra for the deluxe room & requested that all 3 of the rooms we booked be in the new wing. They had our rooms when we arrived (booking.com called the hotel ahead of time for us to make sure everything was in place). The rooms were clean, the staff were great. The location was fantastic, no where better in Kathmandu. They cleaned the room everyday & changed the sheets if you left the green card on the bed. The electricity only went out for seconds at a time. The breakfast was acceptable. The other food at the hotel was good (group of 6 no-one got sick) - free noodles in the room :) Good water pressure in the shower. Stayed in Kathmandu 3 other times & this was by far the best place we stayed so far. Great atmosphere

One person in our group booked a standard room separately and her room was very old & basic (in the old wing) so it's worth paying the little bit extra for the deluxe. Only one of our rooms had a balcony wish we had requested this for all of them as the view was fantastic from the upper floors. Dozens of taxi drivers & peddlers stand outside the hotel gate everyday so you have to push your way through drivers, guides & people selling tiger balm & little wooden instruments every day when you go out some of whom follow you down the road trying to get you to buy.

Hotel location is very central and close to shops, restaurants and most places that tourist would like to see in Kathmandu. The staff and services could be improved by providing information about hotel facilities and tours in writing so we don't have to ask every time. The restaurant is the best attraction.

Bit expensive in relative terms.

Very accomodating with a change in plans. I had to change my days there by 10 days and they re-arranged it and honoured my pre-payment as well.

Good location if it is your first time in Kathmandu. The hotel provide all services you need to be comfortable and safe. (even an ATM machine)

I think it the value for money doesn't worth it.

Location near the city centre is very good. Rooms in thenewwing are quite modern and clean,

Airport pick up promised but not delivered. Little concern when complaint regarding non pick up was registered at front desk upom arrival. Originally booked standard room but it was of poor quaity -soiled carpets, poorly maintained bathroon and musty smell in the room. I ipgraded to a room in new wing which was of much better quality.

Not value for money. The room was not even close to the photos published. The furniture is quite old and the room small. You have to pay for the wifi. Breakfast was ok but we had to pay for coffee separately. The pick up service is free but terrible, we had to wait 1 hour in the airport for other guests to arrive and it was late night, they would have had enough time to drop us and come back to the airport but this did not happened.

Not sure the sheets and towels were actually clean when we arrived. The rom did not smell nice. But we we staying for only a few days so not to worry.
