I really like the people at Hotel Nepalaya. They are all amazing people, ready to help from their heart. It is very close to the shops. Hot was runs very good and they have emergency lights so I had lights even the city electricity cuts off. They are continuously trying to improve their facility. They were building a new entrance which is bigger and feel more comfortable walking back at night to hotel. They are trying to do something with the lift so even during the time of no electricity, people can use it. They are very conscious on making the hotel better place to stay. At night you can hang out with staffs and other travellers at their roof top restaurant, playing music and just hanging out together.

Lift not being able to use during no electricity time, but they are trying to fix this problem.

it is a very nice hotel, polite team and manager (Milan). you can also book for trekks in here - good company and great porter-guide. if i come back to Nepal, i would definitely come back to this hotel

Location and price were exactly what I was looking for... the staff was terrific and there were some bonuses like breakfast and the airport pickup which was great. Rooms and hotel were clean... WIFI was terrific

I liked the friendliness of the staff. They were also helpful and efficient in their service both at the reception and in the restaurant. I liked the fact that there was internet access because I don't have aniPhone/Smartphone and did not take my notebook with me. This was a great bonus since I di not have to go in serach of an internet cafe.

You need to request room service and this wasn't obvious unless you aksed.

The staffs here are very kind and polite to everyone, they also can provide any of tourist information. I'd rather appreciate for all of them during my stay here in Kathmandu.

Roof top terrace bar and restaurant was disappointing. Water dried up towards the end of my stay and electricity was intermittent. However, this should be expected in Kathmandu.

The roof-top restaurant is good view and nice.The room is clean and the 24hr-hot shower is stable. the hotel is quiet but near to Tamel, so shopping is convenient.

Kathmandu always is off-power. So it is necessary to charge your batter when possible.

Annoying tour guide who visited the hotel trying to sell and who would leave us alone when eating.

Very friendly staff! Excellent cafe on the roof with tasty rum&hot water. Sometimes there were problems with hot water in our room, but in general everything was great. We really enjoyed stay at Nepalaya hotel and in case we decide to come again to Nepal, will stay here again.

Good location it is your first time in Kathmandu Nepal. The hotel provide all services you Trekking tour sightseeing everything , comfortable and safe.

Great pick! Helpful staff, good, fluent and understandable English spoken. A lovely rooftop terrace. Many good options in the restaurant. Welcome drink. Farewell present. Nice details. Spacious rooms. Good bathroom. Hot water. Free toiletries (though they had to be asked as they were not provided). All in all, an excellent choice!

Prices at the hotel Travel Agency higher than in other places.

I liked almost everything. Clean, spacious room, beautiful roof terrace, helpful staff, good location. Good, fluent and understandable English spoken. They work out the electricity problem Kathmandú has with their own generator. Excellent restaurant though a bit more expensive than others nearby. When we checked out we were given a scarf as a present. Nice token! Much more than I expected and a paradise if you are coming from India, as we were!

Breakfast could be improved but it is not bad. The tours offered by the travel agency at the hotel were expensive. We managed to get the same for less money.
