Along the quiet Jyatha Road, Hotel Buddha Land is just 2-minute walk from the main street of Thamel, which has lots of restaurants and shops.

Featuring free Wi-Fi throughout the property and a free airport pickup, Kathmandu Home Hotel is just a 5-minute walk from Garden of Dreams and a 15-minute drive from Swayambhunath Temple.

Centrally located in Thamel in downtown Kathmandu, just 320 yards from the center of the city, Pariwar B&B has simple rooms with free bottled water and free Wi-Fi.

Nice location.. its just lil inside but has got stretegic location.
Quite location, friendly staff, neat & clean, 24 hours hot water etc.
staff was very helpful and friendly. Airport pickup and internet and breakfast were provided for. Very good location at the heart of Thamel. All kinds of services like bus ticket, paragliding, jungle safari, etc were made available by them. Hotel is very close to the tourist bus station.
cleanliness can be improved. Wifi should have stronger connection.
Helpfull and friendly staff. All my travel and tour arrangements went as planned. The hotel was near to shopping areas. What I like was the hot water facilities and the breakfast arrangements.
Hot water shower, electricity is just okay but that's common in Kathmandu. Cleanliness is okay, staff is helpful and friendly. Right inside Thamel.
Location is abit difficult to find but that provide quietness for sleep. Road outside the hotel is muddy sometimes.
The rooms are good and toilet is clean. The hotel staff are really good.I always remember the staff, in particular PRADEEP & GOPAL who were calm, considerate, caring, friendly and what not.
Narrow approach road to the hotel. However the entire surrounding areas and streets are similar.
Price to quality...
Approach road is not great... was under construction
They arranged for a pick up at the airport. This is a very handy feature in Kathmandu as it can be very difficult to find hotels via taxi. Also, the air conditioning wasn't working in my original room so they switched me without any hassle. I had to leave early the next morning and they provided breakfast even though i needed to leave before they officially started to serve it.
Things were a bit run down, frayed carpet, worn sheets, etc. but this is pretty typical for this price range in Kathmandu. Would have been hard to find by taxi.
Nothing special about this place, it was an average place. The tea was good and was provided whenever I asked and free of charge.
I booked the most expensive room available at this property but I realized that all the rooms were same. the same room was offered to other guests at less then 50% price. Service was bad, asked for water in the morning n didn't get it till evening. No toiletries were provided except soap.
Please, don't forget you're in Kathmandu. Electricity does not work for several hours a day. No fault of the hotel!
It's a very nice clean hotel and very good value for money. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful especially Deven and Gopal who both really go out of their way to make sure that you have a great stay.
The Driver was very nice.
Due to heavy Power cut I could not avail the facility of Air Conditioning Room though I booked A/c Room and paid the charges of A/C Room. So I feel that I am cheated both by your organisation and the Hotel. The hotel charge me extra when I pay the bill by Credit Card is not proper as you can't expect visitors to move around with lots of cash in hand.
The hotel is beautiful and immaculately clean, which is complemented by fantastic staff (Deven,Gopal,Manish). They were always smiling, always caring and helping to their coustomer. - The rooms are very spacious and equipped with the most modern amenities - The bed comfort is very good. - It is close to touristic places like, kathmandu durbar square, garden of dreams and tourist bus station. -Wi Fi is very good.
Nothing in particular.
The peak point hotel doesn't have the following:- 1. Restaurant ( Thus one has to go out to eat ) 2. Bar 3. Room service 4. Saloon 5. No TV or AC in the room for approx. 13 hours in a day. This is because, they don't give the stand by electricity as it is costly. 6. Poor breakfast. No variety.
staff were very helpful
Construction starting at 6.45am. No chance to recuperate after a long flight. Because of the well known power outages, theres no point paying for upgrades like hair dryer/mini bar fridge/ aircon/ balcony (an indoor part of the stairwell) as I did, as you never get to benefit from these.
Good location (when the construction works around the hotel are finished). Good wifi.
Hotel is located in the middle of the one big construction site (one behind the wall and two in the front of the hotel). The noise is terrible (and: yes, we took the earplugs but they don't help much if the construction sites start being supplied at 4.30 AM). The hotel management lies in rooms' description. Maybe we didn't need the kettle or hair dryer but once promised they should be available. Balcony is in fact a part of a corridor without access to the fresh air and making noise even worse (you hear also all the things happening on the corridor). Towels were not 100% clean and fresh.
Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Within 5 minutes of the main area in Thamel. Good WiFi strength.
Lots of construction all around. The bathroom and floors could have used a deep cleaning. Handheld shower head not convenient.
Good value for the cost. Staff can be very helpful. Breakfast was OK, not great. Good showers with plenty of hot water.
Be prepared for "load shedding" when in Nepal. Even with all our reading up in advance we had no idea about this. Essentially this means there are long power outages throughout the day and night. Supposedly these are scheduled but the schedule is erratic. Obviously not the hotel's fault but be prepared for it.
The staff were pretty good, it's not the Hilton but it was ok.
It may be Nepal, but the electricity was off at the times i was in the room, so charging phones/cameras had to be done in the lobby and you could not watch tv during the evening
Walking distance to Square. Also close to fast food restaurants and brand name shops. Friendly staff, and very helpful. Wi-fi was pretty good considering it was Kathmandu.
In Kathmandu the electricity is turned off for about 6 hours in each area. It only stays on for about 4 hours. The hotel has a generator so the lights and the wi-fi is always available. But the outlets in the room don't work when the electricity is off. Can recharge devices at the front desk, but it's inconvenient. Other major problem is the noise. Construction works taking place, which starts very early in the morning. Don't expect a lie in here. Thamel, the hotel area, is the Nepali version of Kho San road. But it's more crowded. Very chaotic and difficult to find your way about, even with a map. The room was ok, but didn't like the bathroom. The toilet seat had come off, and it seemed a little dirty. But the water pressure and hot water were good.
Breakfast may take a while.
Staff were great. Very friendly, always available, and helpful with advice to navigate the city. They kept my bag and belongings safe for three weeks while I went trekking, making planning for the excursion a breeze. The tour office associated with the hotel even laid out trekking options, but didn't pressure me at all to use these services when I expressed a desire to go solo. Wi-fi strength excellent in entire hotel. Perfect home base for Thamel and Nepal.
The bedsheet was wore out and humid.
