Dirty, not comfortable rooms and bed

they have a wonderful and friendly staff.

I don't like the double bed which is two single beds put together; it is uncomfortable in the middle.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Happy to suggest places to go and organise it if asked. Added personal touches and made me feel very at ease. The hotel is well located in Thamel and easy to get to places of local interest. There are also an abundance of taxis close by to get you to places outside Thamel

Nepal has issues with electricity and at all hotels, restaurants shops etc you experience power cuts for an hour or so. No fault of the hotels at all and they had a good back up generator, but worth to bear in mind if u need to charge up things like a camera before heading out.

The staff especially the manager on duty was very pleasant and of good service. I enjoyed my stay there.

Only the electricity disrupion

Location is perfect. Staff were all friendly an helpful. Rooms were comfortable an I we felt safe. Mr anish, the manager was the highlight of our stay. He made everything comfortable for is. He arranged our pokhara trip included bus ticket, hotel, transfers and tour. He was very kind to us and even helped us when we got stranded because of our flight out. He was very helpful and we appreciate him ao much. Mr. Anish, we will never forget your kindness. We will visit you next time we come back to kathmandu.

I have nothing bad to say about hotel thamel. It felt like our very own home in kathmandu.

Clean room and great location. Staff was extremly helpful. The trips they arranged was perfect. 24 hrs hot water and electricity back up .Would definetly like to stay there again.

The staffs were very nice but the Hotel is a big disappointment. I think that paying 50usd per day is overrated as the rooms were not comfortable at all, old tv, old Aircon system and very noisy, no elevator, the room and bathroom are dirty, no soap and toilet paper as well. I am very disappointed to tell you the truth. The breakfast is boring too.

The friendliness of staff and location is the differential.

The breakfast room is very poor. Another problem is the noise of the generator, especially in rooms located on the lower floors. The rooms and furniture are old but well kept.

This was my second stay at Hotel thamel and just as good as the first time.They really looked after me ,staff are really helpful and will help with planning any trips.Its very close to Thamel but in a quieter little side street.

Dit hotel ligt uitstekend in de Thamelwijk; rustig maar binnen een minuutje in de gezelligheid van Thamel. Wij zijn zeer bereisd en mogen ons best gobetrotters noemen, maar hebben nergens zo 'n geweldig behulpzame manager en staf mogen ontmoeten. Gratis taxivervoer van en naar de luchthaven is leuk, maar vooral ook tientallen telefoontjes om problemen van de reizigers op te lossen. Ook een late check-out was geen probleem. Nepalese vriendelijkheid en gastvrijheid alom!

De waarheid gebiedt te zeggen dat de hygienische omstandigheden geen goede standaard hebben, maar dit wordt ruimschoots gecompenseerd door de uitstekende gastvrijheid.

这是一个很不错的，闹中取静的，市中心的酒店。 极好的地理位置以及合理的价格。 员工热情、周到。 洗澡不担心热水，这一点在尼泊尔的同等级酒店中难能可贵。 经理Anish先生敬业、认真。赞一个。

Das Hotel ist sehr gut in Thamel gelegen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sensationell. Es gibt den ganzen Tag warmes Wasser (nicht selbstverständlich in Nepal). Das Zimmer ist sehr sauber. Es gibt täglich frische Handtücher. Der Balkon ist auch sehr angenehm. Ich kann das Hotel nur empfehlen.

Gute Lage, alles ist selbst per Fuß schnell erreichbar.

Wir haben Postkarten im Hotel abgegeben. Diese sind nie angekommen.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, die Zimmer waren sauber und die Lage des Hotel ist ideal. Beim Frühstück kann man nach der Karte bestellen. Der Transfer vom Flughafen hat gut geklappt.

Most of the staff very friendly and helpful. This hotel met or exceeded our expectations of Kathmandu in most cases. Yes, the power throughout the city is off for large portions of the day, so local businesses will use generators. The hotel posts a schedule of when these outages will occur.

It is located in the downtown but still off the a main and noisy shopping road.

Not the best value for money option. Our room was quite simple and not the cleanest. It was acceptable nothing unbearable but not for the price we paid.

Goed was de vriendelijkheid van het personeel. Behalve één ober in het restaurant (ontbijt). Deze was de volgende dag dan ook verdwenen. Goed is de locatie. Midden in Thamel maar toch relatief rustig gelegen. Er is gratis internet/Wifi door het hele hotel. Ontbijt heeft ruime keuze. Er is een goede taxi service (vliegveld 500 Rp in degelijke minivan). De tweepersoonskamers hebben een fatsoenlijke badkamer met bad. En zelfs een balkon met zitjes. Dit is ook de zonkant.

De éénpersoonsbedden zijn keihard. De tweepersoonsbedden zijn prima. De 3 persoonskamers hebben een onhandige badkamer. De douche staat midden in de badkamer en echt alles is nat als je gedouched hebt. Er is geen balkon bij de kamers aan de achterkant. Zorg dat je aan de achterkant van het hotel terecht komt, daar is het rustiger.
