|At the foot of Thamserku Peak, just before the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park, sits Yeti Mountain Home Monjo.|
The cost of food was NEVER addressed before serving. The Home had a group of french people who stayed on the same night.. but they were very loud, and we had to eat at the same time.... they seemed to have a great time, but it was not a good thing for us.
Staff was very coordial. Our visit was in May 2014. Our group of 5 were the only guest staying at property. Closeness to airport was a big plus.
We had to go into town as the dinners being offered at US $33 per person was Dahl. Although we enjoyed this very much you could purchase this at any tea house for 500-600 rupees. Defenitely over priced. I Paid for the room using my Visa card to find out that they add a 5% service charge to the total. This adds up quickly when you are paying for two rooms. I was not previoulsly advised of this or I would have brought cash. We also stayed at MYH in Namche, Phakding and Monjo. In my opinion the only lodge that is worth the money is the one in Namche. This is ,mainly due to being able to take a nice hot shower after returning from Everest Base Camp.
Good rooms and facilities
No power. Expected for this price hotel to have generator / solar power backup for the frequent power outages in area - other much cheaper hotels do. Nice place, but over priced.
Ideal location. Heating blanket available.
No warm water in the morning ! No breakfast included at this excessive room charge ! For lunch & dinner US$ 30.- is charged per one person !? No other guests here but it was stated: *Only one room left* !?
