Maintenance people just unlocked and walked in without checking with anyone! My kids were still asleep. Not professional and I wouldn't recommend a stay here. No plugs in the sinks, really tight on soap and the facilities are outdated.

Conveniently located close to city center. Spacious rooms that comfortably accomodated 8 people over 2 rooms. Request the renovated rooms. One of the rooms looked like it was a very poorly refurbished apartment with old furniture and very insufficient lighting.

It was within walking distance to all parts of Christchurch It said it had SKY but the one in my room had no movie or sport channel, which are usually in a SKY package for Motels, so that was disappointing. The bathroom and kitchen were really dated and did not look all that appealing. It was very noisy as I could hear the people in the room above me. I have had far better value for the same money in Sydney. I would not stay there again. There were a few of us who had to be out early to catch planes, but the proprietor could not extend the curtesty to be open early. I settled my bill the night before. Other places I have stayed at open when they know they have guests leaving early.

The staff (other than the manager) was friendly and helpful. The room reeked of cigarette smoke. The tank to the toilet leaked. Very noisy. Very run down. Loust beds. Gas station style soap dispensers instead of regular soap and shampoo. Very obvious that the emphasis is on cutting upkeep costs. We decided to leave before our reservation was over; this is not a place to stay to enjoy your holiday.
