Gayle and her helpfulness and her Issi. Breakfast daily in a lovely airy room Thin walls and could hear the activities in bed of couple next door and their thumping on our wall one night.

Nice ambience..logs fires etc would make it really welcoming in colder weather. Room clean and tidy. Liked the Nautical theming and photos etc Some tidying (eg tiling on bathroom floor) would enhance. Exterior appearance a bit deceptive and not representative of overall good standard of cleanliness and service.

Location and cleanliness. Staff were too business like. There was no input at breakfast from the hosts. Self service so felt more like a hotel than a b&b

nothing except for the location! we stayed in 12 different locations in New Zealand and none was as bad as admirals Lodge. We resrved a twin room and got a room so small that we did not have space for our two suitcases and two small hand bags. We were promised a fridge in the room and there was not one. no wander since the room was so small! we were promised a flat TV and got a 19 inch tube TV. The breakfast was poor. Were promised Yogurt and there was none. in total the room we got was a different one than the one reserved. our stay at this place was horrible. I asked for a larger room with all the usual facilities and the owner said they are full.We could go elsewere since it was evening and the next day morning we had to travel with the ferry to the north island

Convenient location for town centre and ferry terminal Cleanliness Room a little small by comparison with other establishments The 'complimentary' breakfast was rather meagre - indeterminate cereal, sliced bread and tea/coffee sachets as in the room. Might be a good idea to buy something from a supermarket to supplement it.

Close to ferry terminal. good shower. Far to expensive for the standard of facilities. Small room, no fridge, washing sink in room. Breakfast very basic, cereals, toast, tinned fruit. Poor value - was getting large room with spa facilities for lower rates elsewhere in NZ on this trip.
