comfy bed, very clean and modern, nice bed linen and friendly staff. awesome location close to the airport and rental car operators.

No bath in the room I had.

I love everything about this place, it is our 4th time there and will go there again. Bed and pillows the best we had in our 2 week stay in NZ

The decor, the bed, the layout

We are country people not used to road noise and we had the front corner unit. Luckily it was a Sunday morning so we werent woken too early. If weatyed again I would ask not to be put in that unit

I liked the fact they replied to e-mails in a timely way. where in person friendly where happy to collect from airport and arrange taxis to the city. rooms where clean, wonderful towels and products small touches like chocolate

Friendly, very clean, spacious, quiet.

The room was clean and quiet with good modern facilities, including a small but well-equipped kitchen. The staff were friendly and helpful. This motel makes a good effort with conserving energy and with recycling. The motel is less than 10 mins' drive from Christchurch Airport, which worked well for my late arrival in Christchurch.

Their free airport shuttle service runs quite infrequently and only operates between 7am and 9pm. The shampoo provided in the motel room was quite diluted and watery. These minor issues aside, I was happy with everything at Airport Christchurch Motel.

It was very clean and comfortable with excellent service and very good assistance re directions etc.

The operator, John, was extremely brusque from the moment we arrived at the check-in. He dismissed us outright when we told him we have already paid, and kept arguing that his computer showed it is not paid. ("You can check with your bank all you want but my computer shows that you have not paid"). Later, when we showed him our bank statement showing that we have already been charged, he claimed that it was his staff's fault but did not apologise. I must emphasise that our impression of his attitude is not solely because of this payment issue. From the moment we arrived, even before we discussed payment, he acted in a very dismissive manner. Later, when we asked him to ferry us to the nearest supermarket (because it was a holiday and all facilities were closed), he acted rudely when we asked him to just hold on while we get our group together. Throughout our encounter, I have the distinct impression that he thinks it is a privilege for us to stay at his place rather than the other way round. I'm sure in the service industry where service is so important, the onus is on the operator to behave in a polite, welcoming manner and to at least give customers the benefit of the doubt when there is a difference in understanding, and not to immediately jump to conclusions, by demeaning the customer's explanations. May I suggest that he takes some lessons from Grant of Tuscana Motor Lodge, Christchurch, with whom we have the honour of staying the day before. He was bright and cheery and dealing with him was such a joy. It is a sad conclusion to what was an otherwise 10 very entertaining days in New Zealand. We are from Australia and our group consists of some well-travelled friends from Hong Kong and I am afraid that we will not be staying at the Airport Christchurch Motel ever again.

As it was winter we did appreciate the towel that was put on the windscreen to avoid frost especially as we an early morning start..

My husband did not appreciate the call at 9.30am from a man asking when he was checking out especially as he had taken me to the airport at 4am.

Nice clean & tidy room and lovely hosts, our room was missing it's tv remote & the host was happy to find another for us. They even put a towel over our cars windscreen to prevent frosting up, a lovely touch. Would happily stay there again.

For a twin room I didn't really like that the single beds were so close together, but not a major.

The information provided by Booking Com suggested that once we received the confirmation that the fee had been paid. I was surprised to find that it was not the case. I hadn't checked my credit card. It was potentially embarrissing as I could have been unable to pay

Very convenient for airport. Only stayed overnight but comfortable and clean.

Just be aware of 9 pm booking at latest without notice. Owner kindly arranged for our late arrival. A bit of road noise but not major.

Staff were welcoming and very helpful with arranging other aspects of our stay in Christchurch. Rooms are modern and very well appointed. Comfortable, convenient to airport and good value for money.
