The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and willing to help organise the forward accommodation.

The fact that when we arrived our booking was incorrect - the 3rd party agency had booked the room with the surname of the woman at the 3rd party agency. The booking reference number should have been enough.

Everything, On arrival the hostess was just the best I have ever come across so warm and friendly.

Of the Motels in which we stayed in our 6 weeks in NZ this is probably the best. Clean, modern, well equipped, central & easy parking. Convenient access to inter-island ferry, walking, shops, boating, golf etc. Picton is an attractive area as well! Worth more time than just waiting for the ferry. Nick. U.K.

Very neat and tidy and well maintained. Liked the recycling and eco-friendly emphasis. Large bathroom a real plus.

Extremely helpful staff – going the extra mile without being asked. Modern facilities – very clean, new bathrooms. Free wifi (ask for an access code at reception). Very short walk into town.

Fantastic resources, everything there that you might need, really comfortable, reasonably priced with great facilities almost on the doorstep!

Shower water pressure was annoying. No Sky Tv! this is a biggie, with young children as well as us being used to Sky Tv at home we would not stay here again unless they install Sky.

We stopped over here as was travelling north on the ferry the following day and was due to the wifes health to break the journey We found the motel very clean and comfortable, in fact it was the best bed we have slept in Management very friendly and handy to shops

The separate bedrooms were nice to have for our young kids. The huge spa bath was a big hit with the kids and also for my wife and I. The location was perfect, supermarket across the road, beer store and a variety of take-away food all within a 5 minute walk.

The heater was pretty noisy and it was required all night to keep the place warm. The toilet paper could have been a bit better quality.

Perfect for my stop over. Host was very friendly and assisted me wherever possible (including finding my keys which I left in my car door!). Would definately recommend - also same street as the best fish n chip shop in nz in my opinion.

I would have liked another sky sports channel to be able to watch the fa cup but didnt want to wake you up to have this changed.

It was vey central and handy for everything in Picton, which is what we wanted.

It was very cramped. The rooms were very small, with very little room for luggage, which most people would be carrying.

Good location, exceptionally clean rooms, well fitted out, convenient for everything, friendly and helpful owners. Would stay there again that's for sure.

There us nothing we didn't like, everything good.

Spacious accomodation for 2 couples, huge bathroom, comfy beds. A well appointed kitchen. Classy decor. Near shops and a pleasant stroll downhill to the waterfront. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Four adults stayed at the Aldan Lodge prior to catching the Interislander ferry. We were delighted with the large 2 bedroom unit we had, also the very large bathroom was a nice surprise.

There was nothing we didn't like about our unit at Aldan Lodge.

First impression was good when we opened the door, roomy, clean and nicely decorated. It was an easy walk from the train to the motel for two older people and two school age children.Very handy to the city centre and the foreshore, supermarket virtually across the road. The owner/managers were obliging and friendly. Very nice. We enjoyed the friendliness of the Picton people. Cafe's etc. great! Wonderful fish and chips from the Kentucky Fish Shop.

We only stayed one night so unable to comment. It was just fine for the night we stayed.
