This complex is conveniently situated on one of the main routes into the center of the city, a short walk from the Bush Inn Shopping Centre with numerous specialty stores. For your convenience, all units are self contained. Central Christchurch, casino and the Christchurch International Airport and train station are all just 10 minutes away. The area has plenty of recreational facilities including Addington and Riccarton Racecourses, Ruapuna Raceway, 20 golf courses, swimming pools and fitness centers. The Sports and Entertainment Centre, which was recently completed, is only 5 minutes away. The hotel is right across from the New Riccarton Public Library and cafe. Hotel Rooms: 18

We appreciated a staff member staying up late until we arrived at the motel although this was not necessary cos I had pre arranged that they leave the key in the safe outside the office as we were not expected till after midnight.They did have the room nice and warm. The bedspread had greasy stains on it and had a dirty white mark on the other side that I noticed when I folded it back!!Some minor maintenance is required on toilet roll holder & toilet window latch.We had the wheelchair unit but the wet floor shower flooded the entire floor in the bathroom no matter how careful you were with the direction you pointed the shower rose.

Quiet clean unit, with good facilities except for the shower room, see below. We found the shower in unit one to be not quite right. Obviously a disabled unit, but when you showered the whole floor area of the bathroom got wet. Hence, if you showered before you went to bed and got up in the night to use the toilet, if you did not put shoes or slippers on, the bottoms of your feet got wet and you had to dry them again before getting back into bed. A design or construction fault.

Staff were friendly, helpful and courteous.They replaced anything needing replacing immediately and would fix anything at once if a request was made. Management were interested in their guests and went out of their way to spend time with them. Small unit, rather cramped but perhaps we should have opted for a larger unit and the studio unit we had chosen did not have a kitchen stove only a cooktop so this needs to be specified.

Courteous staff. Airport shuttle. In-room facilities. Comfort. Quiet location. Proximity to shopping and dining. Bath towel hooks missing. Slippery bath surface when using shower - needs mat.

We were staying in a 2 bedroom motel unit and I was impressed that a staff member rang me on the morning of our arrival and asked me how we wanted the bed configuaration in each of the bedrooms. Certainly saved us fighting over the double bed.
