Friendly staff, reasonably priced. Stayed in a basic cabin which was warm and roomy and nice and private. Shower and shared facilities are very good. Near shops and short walk from town and beach. Walk to showers is long if it is raining! (we were unlucky with the weather)

Love the style and design of the cabins and the facilities all seemed new and were very good. Overall really pleased with my stay here and would have liked to stay longer. Friendly and helpful staff. Great if would have free wifi - but this is an issue for all nz tourist accomodation. Coming from the uk and Europe in general - free wifi is the norm.

It was quiet, still close to restaurants and wildlife. The view on the mountains were awesome. I reminded us about a place in South Africa where the Whales are comming to and dolphins, Hermanus. We enjoy nature and the beauty of what the Lord has given us. It was our first visit to Kaikoura and we will definetly be back. We tols friends of us about our experience and they will be visiting Kaikoura soon. Thanks for your hospitality, we enjoyed our stay.

Typical New Zealand motel - in appearance a bit 'log-cabin' but in practice very comfortable. Pleasant gardens - with a view of the snow capped mountains when we were there. Reasonably convenient location in terms of Kaikoura itself - a decent walk or a short car journey and in terms of food ther are a couple of reasonable restaurants in reach, and I certainly found the early morning bakery next door a blessing in terms of stocking up for breakfast. The park was quiet when we were there, but I doubt things would be so peaceful in the summer when I imagine families would proliferate, and side by side accommodation might not offer much privacy. But then I'd advise an Autumn trip to mature couples anyway.

Redelijk icht bij het station en de whale watch maatschappij.Zeer sober ingericht. Voordeel was dat er wel een grote gemeenschappelijke keuken was. Personeelwas aardig, behulpzaam. Gezien de prijs viel het ons behoorlijk tegen. Een simpele door houtenschotten afgetimmerde kamer. Douche was goed. Prijs kwealiteit verhouding vile tegen

I liked the fact that being a solo woman traveller coming up from dunedin arriving at night that they offered to pick me up and take me to the camp. I also loved the showers and bathroom facities and they even gave me a towel which i had forgotten. The only thing i found annoying was the walk back into kaikoura so I think it would be fantastic if the hire of bikes was cheaper or even better compilmentary to eliminate the problem of being out of town.
