Very close to city, staff very friendly and chatting. Very clean and tidy accommodation.

Location good within easy walking distance to main facilities. Beds comfortable , accommodation clean, staff friendly and helpful.

could do with more channels on tv , only 5.also could do with better room heating system.

The owners Sue and Alan were always happy to answer our questions and provide us with ideas on where to go and what to see. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Amber Lodge is an easy walk to the shops and wharf. We definitely would stay here again if we returned to Queenstown.

Our room was very comfortable and CLEAN. View is outstanding. Very peaceful, couldn't believe we were only a block from the town and yet there was no 'noise'.

Location is ok.

Room is too small. We have booked a room for 3 persons, there is hardly any space for our luggages. Toilet is also small. Kitchen has cooking stuffs available. Light, thin curtain makes you awake in early morning. Noisy traffic on the road.

The location was great. Just a short walk to the Gondola and town. Friendly staff.

Very close to down town Queenstown. Parking available. Comfortable beds and clean. Perfectly adequate.

First impression was of a 'dated' motel and a little untidy but don't be deceived by this. Confirmed booking was of two units with king sized beds in lake view rooms however on checking in at 6pm one unit was a twin bed non lake view unit. We would have considered cancelling the booking had Queenstown not been so busy to give our overseas guests a better impression. We would advise other guests to check other accommodation options first.

Friendly and location

An older style motel but had everything you needed and was very comfortable. The location was perfect. We arrived on an early morning flight and when we arrived to drop off our bags we were told our room was ready for us. It was only 9.00am. Just brilliant.

Its central location

The price was exorbitant for the accommodation. The accommodation was dated and tired.

Needs commercial Laundry appliances. Remove old heater. Replacing tired and old bedding. Needs a few more essential kitchen utensils.

Very close to the centre of town, walk in 3 minutes.

Stayed in a 2 bedroom apt, only one couch, so had no comfy family time, after a hard day up the mountain.
