Hosts so welcoming when we arrived by motorcycle on a wet day. Bike was garaged for us which was very much appreciated. Hosts provided us with a wonderful nights stay. Very comfortable and brilliant breakfast. Thanks.

The hosts, janet and Ian were very generous, picking us up at the ferry terminal and taking us to the car hire place. They also were helpful in telling us about great places to visit on our trip, and welcomed us royally! We would definitely stay at Anchor Down again.

Janet and Ian are excellent hosts - very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The glass of local wine each evening was great! The B and B is just a short walk from the harbour with lots of cafes and shops. Janet's recommendation for local restaurants was spot on, and we followed her advice and took the long way (via Queen Charlotte's Drive) to Blenheim - fantastic road!

We were welcomed with an informal meet and greet including other guests complete with an excellent cider! Great breakfasts and hosts who were willing to go the extra mile

Only one negative. The shower next door was loud enough to wake us up. Maybe some additional wall insulation would sort this out.

We liked the free wifi and free parking. This B&B is close to town, you can easily walk. The hosts are very friendly and breakfast has good choices for everybody.

The athmosphere felt a bit outdated (furniture etc). The bed was ok, not brilliant. The room itself had little view outside as it was on a lower ground floor, next to the garage.

Janet and Ian were fantastic hosts. Janet picked us up at the ferry terminal because we arrived in the middle of a downpour. She showed us the town and gave a great recommendation for dinner. The house is beautifully decorated and color coordinated. Our room was very large and comfortable, with its own entrance and a door to the pretty garden with outdoor seating, kitchen facilities that we didn't have to use, a nice dining area, and a sitting area for watching TV or reading. They served a full breakfast in the morning, with granola, yogurt, eggs, bacon, toast, juice, and coffee.

Nothing. Everything was fine. I just wish we had booked more than one night so we could have had time to fully enjoy & relax!

The room was too small and our view was looking into a driveway with a car parked there. Not close enough to beach. Very disappointing
