The Garden area was nice.
This hotel needs a huge upgrade, exterior paint is peeling and dirty, would have moved on but had prepaid. Bathroom floor needed a big scrub, cobwebs behind door and bed was like a trampoline, would not stay here again.
nothing would not go bak
bed was awful furnishings shabby bathroom awful and in general tired and old in need of decoration
location was easy walk to city centre, and housekeeping staff friendly.
The bathroom-toilet had no interior or exterior ventilation. Building was locked until breakfast staff arrived at 7.25, resulted in us having to rush breakfast as we were then running late for our planned departure, although reception had told us breakfast was available from 7am.
Excellent breakfast cooked on the spot and friendly staff
rooms do need renovating however very clean and tidy. Would have been disappointed if I had wanted a swim as the pool needed cleaning.
My second stay cos I really enjoyed it the first time. Cooked breakfasts included and it was yumm, friendly staff, free wifi, heater, electric blankets, bath. Great comfortable relaxing value for money stay.
Decor and fittings a bit dated but all works fine. Not really an issue.
convenience of location receptionist very helpful food from restaurant good
the place is tired, but it meets your needs as far as a clean bed for the night, clean bathroom facilities
We liked the friendly staff and yummy cooked breakfast which came as part of our package. The room size was great and very clean and tidy. Gardens well maintained. Ample parking.
This Motel is very dated and although has great potential and is looked after well by the staff it could really do with a facelift especially at the entrance as I see the sign has no lighting and it just looks run down from the entrance. The interior and colour schemes in the rooms is dated and tired. Bedding (duvet/blanket) could be refreshed and updated too.
Breakfast included but not very appetizing - cold and not a wide variety. car able to be parked close to room office staff helpful
Cleanliness not to a very high standard, linen worn, too expensive for quality of stay
Good price for night and included breakfast
No coffee included in breakfast. If I wanted one I had to pay extra.
Flat screen Tv Pool view Restaurant so I didn't need to go out 500mb free wifi
That you can here so much noise outside. As I am wanting a permanent fortnighty staying place I will look at others because other reviewers have said that seasonal workers stay there in the summer so that is the only thing putting me off
Parking and easy access to rooms from outside
The breakfast was very meager and we were not impressed that we had to pay for tea and coffee. Not sure how you got a rating of. 5stars as it was well below that rating
Breakfast was included in the price. Picturesque pool and garden area.
Very tired and dated looking. Only 6 channels on the tv. Where are all the freeview channels? Female on reception could be a lot more professional. It is a shame its been let to get so run down. It could be a fantastic hotel again.
BEST STAFF I HAVE ENCOUNTERED APART FROM 5 STAR HOTEL ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WAS A PROBLEM AND WE ASKED FOR A LOT BEING A BIG SCHOOL GROUP. OLD FACILITIES MEAN SPACIOUSNESS AND POTENTIAL FOR LOVELY OUTDOOR AREA INCLUDING POOL GARDENS RECENTLY PLANTED . GREAT FOR BUDGET LARGE GROUP STAY
VERY VERY OLD DATED LACKING ANY MODERN COMFORT . BASIC OLD BED AND FURNISHINGS . NEEDS BIG MAKEOVER . COULDN'T EVEN FIND IT DUE TO THE SIGN BEING HIDDEN BY CABBAGE TREE !!! MENU NEEDS UPDATING NOT A SALAD IN SIGHT FOR 5 DAYS BUT IF YOU LIKE ROASTS THERE WAS PLENTY . BOYS SCHOOL VISIT TRAILED MUD THROUGH OUT COMPLEX SHOULD HAVE BEEN MADE TO HOSE DOWN OUTSIDE BEFORE ENTERING POOL AND COMPLEX.
love the continental breakfast, handy location to town centre
front sign was never on so it was a bit hard to see where hotel was in the dark
It is well positioned in Hastings for those visiting the city. Has good parking. We liked the breakfast option.
In order to cater for more middle class visitors the Angus needs a more aggressive programme of modernisation other wise it well be predominately a place of accommodation for migrant workers.
Its is old and tired and needs a good refurbishment and brought up to date
Staff were very friendly, loved the breakfast and great location... Handy to town!
Heater can't warm up the room, need updated!
Friendly helpful staff. Comfortable and clean. Cooked breakfast, bath, heater, electric blanket, sky movies, free wifi all included in a very reasonable price. Great!
Tariff,cooked breakfast,good parking
Limited Sky channnels
Lay out was fine and bed was OK
Really needs a referb
The bed was comfortable as the mattress was not hard giving me a good nights sleep. it was very central to everything we needed.
Every few months we enjoy a day at the Hastings races. Angus Hotel is right next to the track so we can enjoy a few drinks and just wander back thru the gate to our room. Its nota flash modern hotel but is clean and comfortable and the staff are very friendly.
Not so much what I didn't like and more what I would like - Would be awesome if the restaurant had a good substantial salad on the dinner menu i.e. Cajun chicken, mediteranean lamb . Im not a big steak fan and although I love seafood its all deep fried.
That the lovely staff changed our room on request
The first room we were given was tiny an really unsuited to a family of three. It had a squeaky double bed which upon closer inspection showed a damaged bed leg. The next rooms range slider was broken and really hard to use. Also when booking it said a pool for all year but when we got there it is only for the summer. It was also hard to find as the sign was hidden behind a tree with no lighting
loved the breakfast and friendly lady that served us AAA+++
I think 200 mb is not very good these days motels have unlimited
clean an tidy an comfortable and handy to town and event centre was value for money
nothing all was good
