Great view of Mount Sefton, very spacious and clean motel style studio suite with veranda.Easy walk to all facilities like DOC visitor centre and restaurant. Walk straight from motel to sights like Kea point.
The unit was beautiful. Well appointed and the view was of Mt Cook from almost every huge window.
The accommodation was perfect. View was breathtaking. Clean and comfortable bed.
Wifi was a bit slow and limited.
This motel is extremely well appointed, very comfortable and well run by friendly, helpful owners. Spacious rooms, good beds. Loved the view of Mt Cook from our room and the "walk out the door" proximity to hiking. The Hooker Valley trail was fabulous. We had a wonderful stay here!
Location & views
Poor landscaping surrounding the chalets. No garden furniture provided. Disparity in quality of fittings between main bedroom and second bedroom
Gorgeous view, beautiful apartment, very comfy beds, spa bath wonderful, nicely appointed kitchen.
Wish I'd realised there was no supermarket before I got there. Apartment was so lovely and kitchen was so nice would have been great to stay in.

Room was sound as! We both reali injoyed relaxn there great place and spot
The room is comfortable with lots of windows at living room with view of the mountain. We love the spa tube very much.
we buy salmon at high country salmon farm but we cannot cook seafood at kitchen.
The close proximity to Aoraki Mt Cook. This motel was probably the very best we have ever stayed in.
There is nothing we did not like about it. It was absolutely super.
The modern room- large space, very clean, nice touches and style. Liked having a small stove top and other great facilities for cooking a simple breakfast etc.
The price although seems on par with everything else in the area (very little competition!) also keep in mind that eating in the area is also expensive.
A very comfortable and immaculately clean motel. Wish we could have stayed longer. Very friendly welcome Beautiful area
Excellent conditions and comfort at a good price. Helpful staff. Would definitely visit again.
Great place to stay
Shower curtain rather than enclosed cubicle.
The suite we had was extremely nice, two BRs, large bathroom and a separate family room. While the price of the room is fairly high, I think is appropriately priced for the quality of room you receive. Our room had a lovely view of the mountains and Mt Cook.
Just about everything
The kitchen floor tiles were slippery when wet
Very friendly staff and comfortable well appointed unit in excellent location.
Amazing place, big room, everyhting new and nice decorated and kitchen fully furnished. Really worth to pay the price, best motel I have ever been!!
nothing, it was simply great!!
The motel itself is lovely, but I had two issues. The first was with check-in. I arrived by public bus at 12.30pm and was told to go away until 2pm. The cleaners hadn't even started cleaning the rooms and when I went back at 2pm, some rooms were still not ready. At the price they are charging per night, I would expect far greater flexibility in check in time. This experience is what I remember from staying in youth hostels, when I was paying significantly less. The season was only starting and luckily for them they were not full. This will be a much bigger problem when there are many more people arriving. Also, it has the potential to affect what you can do on your arrival day. I had to change my plans as I couldn't just arrive, check in, get changed and go out on the hike I wanted to do. By the time I hung around and checked in, I didn't have the time available to do the hike I wanted to do. The other problem was their free wifi, which just didn't work for me.
location, location, location
Friendly staff high quality facilities
no restaurant in motel but 2 nearby
Staff very knowledgeable and helpful.
Washer/dryer facilities a little on the expensive side.
We had travelled 2500kms within the South Island of New Zealand in 10 days, our second night was here..... and third.... the impressions left in my memory from this beautiful place, a highlight. Paul the manager tells Julie and I where we should go, thanks Paul.... we have amazing photos to remind us of the amazing experiences we shared.
Nothing, but except what nature gives you :)
This is a near new motel with amazing mountain views. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are large and well equipped, with free off street parking. If self catering, bring your own supplies as there are no shops in the village.
