“ Very cosy and quiet and magical private place, lovely room with a stunning view and very clean. Wonderful breakfast, fresh fruit salad was delicious!! To top it off even had room service! Definitely would recommend for individuals, couples or any traveller looking for some relaxing refreshment! ”

Featuring a sunny terrace overlooking the hills, Arden Street House is just 3 minutes’ walk from the Dunedin Botanic Gardens. It offers rooms with free breakfast and a flat-screen TV. Arden Street House Dunedin is 5 minutes’ drive from the University of Otago, and 10 minutes’ drive from Blanket Bay. Dunedin Airport is a 40-minute drive away. All rooms are heated and include electric blankets and an alarm clock. Each room is decorated with local artwork. The tour desk can book local activities, including trips to Speights Brewery and the Cadbury Chocolate Factory. You can play the piano or meet new people in the guest lounge. Free parking is available on site. Breakfast options include fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, cereal and bread. Dinner can be arranged upon request, and vegetarian options are available. Nothing at all Being put into a converted garage which was crude and unattractive. No plug in basin. Roll together bed so lack of sleep. Not a good experience at all.

good breakfast system. Good company. Finding the place (Arden Street) The booking system did not confirm the booking. I had to phone the A S G H to do this. Some elderly or 'physically challenged' people would have to be careful.

Comfortable bed and now I know I need to replace the one at home! Relaxed atmosphere. Very friendly and engaging host. Fantasic fruit salads for breakfast. Happy to stay again. I would like to see the washing facilities improved - all worked well but bathroom had a damp smell.

the water from the tap was very clean and good to taste no need for bottled water. Bed was very good and comfortable and warm. Great heater as well as electric blanket. Staff very friendly and helpful. could not make a cup of coffee or a sandwich in the room. of course we could go downstairs for that but who does that in the middle of the night or day.

It was inexpensive as I only needed a bed. I did not take advantage of any other of their facilities. It was carefree with no constraints It did confuse me though at breakfast were knives and forks were laid out yet no cooked breakfast was available and only tea spoons to eat cereal

Very friendly, they make you feel at home. Great views over the Valley. Best thing is the dinners of an evening. Great food and there's always good conversation over the dinner table. It's located on a fairly steep hill which might be a concern for some guests, but I enjoyed the exercise.

Kitschig schöne Einrichtung, einfaches aber gutes Frühstück, schöne Aussicht über Dunedin. Skurril, aber unbedingt empfehlenswert.

Breakfast is good Decor artistic but scary at night - Room 2 was exceptionally cold. When You need a hot snack like instant noodles they send you to a B&B which is a distance away & cold!
