Room $200 no breakfast and small
Staff were incredible
Room - The loud noise coming from the streets and pub. Will not recommend the place to anyone
Awesome friendly staff, yummy breakfast and the location was unbeatable. I will be booking another break at this hotel.
Brilliant location for the Art Deco Festival which it complimented
The rooms were so quaint and lovely. We just loved how everything was so on-theme! Plus its location was so central and spot-on for walking to various sights, dinner and bars. The car parking was off-site but definitely very easy to use.
Wifi was hard to connect
Great feel to the hotel, common balcony was lovely at night where we caught up with some French Canadian travellers.
Historic art deco hotel in heart of Napier, with good bar!
Be aware the rooms are 'compact'!
balcony overlooking town square and sea
below our room was a dumpster that was being filled with bottles during the night.
Great location & restaurant.
Very disappointed that there was no sky, we had to go to Lonestar down the road to watch the rugby! Noisy.
Room was very nice
Did not tell us about an motel event that was noisy until we checked in.
Great food at the Emporium, best hotel breakfast experienced in a while. We had a fabulous corner suite overlooking the ocean.
All the original features
Car park is a distance from hotel
The hotel is located directly across the road from the Bay and gorgeous park and coastal cycle path Beautifully renovated Exceptional staff We were not allocated a room with french doors opening onto Terrace as requested so staff changed our room on checkin …brilliant Quality contemporary linen/decor Excellent bar/restaurant downstairs Free guest laundry Free wifi
The room was a little small but very comfortable and the consolation was we had direct access to the Terrace (must have when booking) No Parking but this understandable as the hotel is located right in the heart of the town
We liked the Art Deco theme, the cleanliness of the room, the comfort, the location, and the access to the roof deck where we spent many leisurely hours.
Apartment was beautiful
Could have had a concierge to help with meet and greet and managing luggage
We liked the Art Deco ambience of the hotel. The staff were helpful. The views from the outside rooftop were stunning.
Room upgrade was nice - spacious and comfortable. Bar/restaurant lots of fun. Location couldn't be better.
Noisy - our windows looked out onto Starbucks and a bar where there was a lot of noise. A/C didn't work all that well. Couldn't get the room cool enough.
Just a great spot in this delightful Art Deco town!
Nothing to dislike except the room was a tad on the small side.
Location was very central. Short walk to the local shops, eateries, gardens and beach. Free wifi was a bonus. The room was stylish and had outdoor access to a lovely balcony overlooking the ocean views, which made it 5 stars for us. It was a wonderful place to stay in Napier.
The room was small, however facilities were very good.
beautifull hotel great bar great breakfast wanted to stay longer
The hotel was in a lovely location close to the sea front, and central shopping. The hotel was full of Art Deco character and memorabilia. Good meal in restaurant. We were given a room upgrade which was excellent.
A wonderful position on the waterfront right in the middle of town, with an amazing view from the communal balcony, great for a sundowner.
There were a couple different bars and restaurants that you could book to the room.
It was expensive for what it was, and the shower wasn't amazing.
