We got to the hotel, staff were rude and uninterested, we were given a room next to the smokers area where people could see and here everything in our room even though we were non-smokers. We paid $89 for a room with no fridge, phone, t.v. or glasses for our own drinks none of which we were aware and it was shared bathroom facilities (which we were aware of). We then moved to another hotel around the corner for the exact same price $89 and we had a double twin room with a t.v., tea and coffee facilities, an ensuite, fridge, phone, good lighting and the staff were helpful, it further highlighted that the Aspen is a complete rip off even if classified as budget accomodation as we could get something at the same price that was much better. |

The help and friendliness of the Manager and staff. The clean, comfy room with ensuite. It was quiet. I felt there should be some fresh fruit offered at breakfast, they offer a continental breakfast but it was a bit staid and had a sameness about it.. |

Immaculate room, bed linen etc.Handiness to central city The kitchen /dining area was rather smelly with peoples food..smells lingered. Not enough mugs or cups. TV on a rock music channel, no news, or sport. Noise late at night, from traffic, and other guests. |

Only stayed one night, and its main advantage was the closeness to Vector Arena. I did like the hot water and good water pressure in the shower, but otherwise it would probably be more accurate to say that I was pleasantly relieved to find none of the common disadvantages of a budget hotel (eg. excess noisiness, lack of cleanliness, lack of hot water). Would not have wanted to stay there any length of time if I needed to use the room a lot. Lighting was not conducive to working or reading, and TV was small and perched annoyingly high on the wall. Room was rather gloomy and shutters on the window prevented any view outside. But for "no frills" accommodation I have no significant complaints. |

Room was fine. Liked that there were kitchen facilities available for guests. Breakfast was adequate - yoghurt would be good. I didn't mind that the room wasn't cleaned while I was there, but wondered how long it would be before it was....... A bit noisy, mostly from the street. |

Situé au centre-ville. Personnel aimable et présent en permanence. Système de fermeture des portes très bruyant et isolation phonique des chambres insuffisante. |
