The layout of the room was well designed, lovely decor, it suited us very well.

My wife found the pillow too stiff, could be a bit more softer.

The property has been refurbished inside and out with flair and imagination, and is meticulously well kept. We stayed in Room 8 which had a fantastic bathroom, and a lovely private courtyard.

Another reading light in the corner by the armchairs would have been helpful.

The room was just lovely.Very clean.We loved the spa bath. We loved that the sea was just a walk across the road and the estuary was on the other side. We are going back as we really enjoyed our short stay.

There was nothing we didn't like.

The room was very clean and having a Bar b Que to use is a great idea. Pointed in the direction of best Fish an Chips ever! Altogether pleasant experience.

There are other motels in Napier with a better location, either on the beach front or overlooking the harbour. To compensate, At the Rocks is very fairly priced.

Lovely staff; they made our stay really enjoyable and easy. I would highly recommend At The Rocks Motorlodge to anyone. We'd love to stay there again, the rooms are beautifully set out. Positioned on the other side of the wharf, away from all the noise; nice and quiet.

This motel has the best layout configuration for a family of four. It has a double bed in the main and a separate room with two single beds. The main room has a small but elegant courtyard with a garden table where we could sip coffee or eating our breakfast. Also the toilet/bathroom is on the other side of the separate bedroom so it minimises disturbances from anyone using the bathroom or toilet while the rest are sleeping. The place is very clean and well maintained and I can undoubtedly say it is one of the best motels I have come across during my 9 days trip to NZ.

Welcoming host, very clean and tidy accommodation. One of the most comprehensive welcome packs I've seen in a motel. The claw bath was very welcome after a long motorbike ride in lousy weather.

Paper thin walls, could hear the people next door talking and a baby crying a few rooms away.

The rooms were very good, great beds, spa bath in room, basic cooking facilities available, gymnasium and shared BBQ area. Room service is avail from neighbouring restaurant but we chose the 10 minute walk to a variety of restaurants recommended by the owner. Internet was good speed

The motel was a littke further out of town than I anticipated but with a rental car this didn't present a major problem

Staff was extremely friendly and the room was big and very well equipped. Also very quit in the evening Would definitely recommend it for other business people

v clean spacious rooms, cute outsdie deck and chairs, one level, easy acess, excellent shower, bath fantastic although didn't use it, close to Ahuriri, town, and Napier sportsfields, well priced for quality.

Booking mix up by motel. We had booked two rooms (documentation proving this with motelier and me) to find one had been given to someone else - found this out on the day I arrived. Felt I was very accommodating offering to sleep in with my parents therefore I did not appreciate being told that I would not be charged. Perhaps a discount for a future stay (we like the motel very much and can see us returning despite the muck up) might have been more appropriate rather than the trying to make me feel grateful for not being charged, when I know that I had booked the room first, and was saving the manager the stress of dealing with a way more awkward and uncomfortable situation.

I was pleasantly surprised at the spaciousness of the room, in particular the bathroom was luxurious, and the spa bath added an extra touch. The lobby area we had in our room before we walked into the main room was also a nice touch as it meant if we'd needed to do any work we could have sat in there. I loved the proximity to the Westshore walkway. And best of all I loved how clean the room was. It will definitely be our motel of choice when we return to Napier.

rubbish under the bed and the staff were not that friendly when we checked in also had dogs there tied up outside the office that barked and my children not a good look
